1. They have the Magic Weekend crowd aggregate (and therefore average) incorrect. It's 134,677, not 134,675.
2. They haven't added Round 16 yet.

The population of Middlesborough is between 132000 and 176000, depending on how much of the local area is included.

There's a decent enough patch that enjoy the sport and a tiny patch who love it enough to attend but that's about it.

Pretty much this. You can make all the excuses you like about ticket price, ko time, weather, stadium quality and so it goes on but reality is it comes down to how many people care enough about the club to make an effort to get to games to cheer them on. If you cared you’d be there.
