A pretty impressive bloke.
“I’m locked into the club and bringing success to this team. If you’re a Tigers fan be excited for years to come. I’m all in. That’s the kind of man I’ve been.”
Luai on the WT squad: “They are young, full of energy and keen to learn. It takes me back to when I was first coming into grade. Hopefully I can instil in them some good habits”

Even @ 1.2 m I think we got the bargain of the year.
He definitely sounds like he left the Panthers with a point that he intends to prove. "When someone tells me I can't do something......" sounded pretty laser direct

I’ve never met a player like him, so driven to deliver.

It’s not like he’s massive unit or anything close.

And so far as I could tell, he was understanding and enjoying the kindness and thanks shown and he understood our desperation.

He was popular at the Panthers, but the support for him here was next level.

We’ve got a number of ex panthera now and they know each other games very well.

He oozes leadership qualities & he will have a gargantuan influence on the development of our talented youth especially the Polynesians. He is the personification of the do as I do attitude & will be a godsend for our greenhorn coach.I expect we will look back in the future $ realise the $1.2m/yr was big unders.

Might be just in the moment talk, but could Jarome Luai be the biggest signing of the NRL era?

Just look at it purely on terms of face value:

* Four time Premiership winning half
* Current Origin half who came up with the series winning play
* Captains his country
* Genuine Superstar and huge media/corporate profile
* 27 years old in the prime of his career

Coming to the team who has won the wooden spoon 3 times in a row and hasnt made the finals for 14 years. The only one I can remotely think of is Greg Inglis to Souths, however he wasnt a spine player and was forced from the Storm due to the Salary Cap Breaches.

I get that he hasnt set foot on the field for us and could still be a slop, but I'm talking purely about the signing, not the on field impact which is TBD.

Some articles in mainstream today talking about his decision and desire to be puckered off the cud of clearyism.

I have detected some resentment on the panther forum about him leaving.

I don’t want to be mean but on what planet does the panther retention commission choose Dylan or Brian over Jerome? Short term thinking.

Jerome can occasionally let his on field ambition overcome ball security but that’s the price of a spirited play maker.

If you hardly touch the ball, you don’t make many mistakes, except our ugly lot of course.

I criticise him, but Benji did a great job helping to secure him. Unbelievable!

I’m looking forward to belting the panthers again.

I’ve said it earlier, I believe he needs to be the team captain.
Api can be club captain.
