People love their Sunday afternoon football in the sunshine in a decent stadium.

Yep and even with track work that is one of the better crowds the Roosters have got in Gosford, and there were plenty that travelled up and back on the rail replacement buses, I estimated the crowd around at kick off at least 12,000, was happy when they posted just over 14 and a half thousand. Despite the result I had a great day out and even with track work it wasn't a hassle to get to and back from the game.

Probably worth clarifying a few things here:

• We calculate crowd statistics ourselves each week based on announced crowds, independently from whatever might be published by the NRL.
• The NRL announced the Magic Round aggregate as 134,677. That is the aggregate of the three days, not of the eight announced crowd figures.
• We calculate the average crowd for the entire season based on 'per game' - so for Magic Round, we divided 134,677 by eight.
• Last year we used the same basis - so double header crowds were counted once only, and the round in which they took place was divided by eight.

Every Round, from here on in, looks good for crowds. Predicting 15k-20k, for each Round.
Hopefully the Broncos can string some good wins together. Heaps of big games for them in Brisbane, and one on the Coast. Looking forward to the Panthers/Dragons, Hopefully near a full house at Penrith. Should see a big crowd in Canberra as well. Also be interesting to see how much the Titans slump, and coach sacking, affect’s their Home Storm game.
