F*ck yes!!!

This is why i want to see the ARLC shorten the NRL regular season. We had 26round of clubs and fans going through the motions. Its not until the event games that it turns up a notch.

Shorten the season, make each game more important and aim for this at least every few weeks

The conference system will achieve this

So what are the odds of a decent crowd at the NSW Cup GF on Sunday?
- No competing NRL
- First at Bankwest
- Close to Wenty
- Eels already eliminated
- Strongly supported Jets

They should be putting a call out to all Eels fans and those Jets fans that attended the record game at Henson earlier in the year.

How good would it be to one day have a GF Day like the SAFL for instance.
$10 tickets isn't bad value
Does everyone else around Parra still hate Wenty though?

More like 23k temp stands not installed this year

45-50k

The seated capacity of the ground is 25,500. And they have sold 1,000 standing room seats. So, no, 26,000.

Also, the Rabbits have had two semis in Sydney already. 50,000 show up to those games?

If they wanted the home semi so badly they should’ve won week one and earned the prelim. Like we did.

What kind of crowd is expected for Easts v Storm? Will it be more/less than Canberra v Souths?

Will be more than Canberra/souths but probably not by much.

We brought 20k to the week 1 game, you would like to think that would increase to 30k for a prelim. Then it is up to storm fans and neutrals. Not much hope with neutrals as they hate both teams.

Is the SAFL a reserve grade?
I don’t think any reserve grade is ever going to get good crowds.
The NEWCASTLE grand final got 5000. Thats low for what it used to be but it’s a lot more interest than there would be in any sort of reserve grade.

I wonder if the same people who want the game moved to a bigger venue in Sydney would be happy if next years Grand Final was held at the MCG based on it being a larger venue.
I highly doubt it.

Raiders earned the right to host this week, regardless of their venue size.

Last years WAFL gf drew 25k , around 1000-2000 regular season games for the popular clubs

Is it an AFL reserve grade? Feeder clubs?
Those terms are fatal to a club/team.
The WAFL, SANFL and VFL are all reserve grade competitions, they're also well marketed and supported through their respective cities and regions.

WAFL this year had 18,000 at the Grand final.

The SANFL had 39,000.

VFL had about 15,000.

All reserve grade, most of the VFL sides are immediate back ups for the current Melbourne based AFL teams.

It certainly is.

Bith Adelaide and port Adelaide have designated teams in the competition. The other players are eligible to be picked up by the AFL teams too.

Or imagine if the NRL has a system similar to A-league or AFLW where the higher ranking team hosts the GF. I know unnecessary for our game, but a fair value for when ANZ is being redeveloped. Etc if Storm qualify, then potienaly could have it at MCG (Crowd permitting), Suncorp for Brisbane, MD for Newcastle. I guess capacity would be an issue for places like Canberra / Illawarra, but as long as the stadium is full, it looks good.

Souths only managed 30K vs the roosters and 32K vs manly. How in the hell are you expecting 45-50K from them this week at ANZ?

If anything it’s more like 25-26K in Canberra vs barely over 30K at ANZ.

Cat 1 and 2 for SCG are single ticket, cat 3 can’t get 4 in a row

Sellout???
All depends if Ticketek are playing silly buggers or not, been down this path before where you couldnt get tickets and on game day there is whole areas empty. Happened to us at Magic Weekend, apparently all the Diamond catagory seats were gone for the Friday, on the day we moved to the halfway line because there was whole areas vacant.

yeah - back to all sections available (outside of roosters supporters)
Can get 8 in a row in cat 1, 2 and 3

Maybe some of the closer sections have sold out and they release tickets in other parts of the ground
