To think we currently have a sponsor and frozen food distributor calling the shots at our club is insane. It is with his leadership we are in our current predicament. We have in the last 6 months lost 2 of the greatest football minds in the current game, to instead under Mr Abcoes leadership put all of our faith in a coach who hold the lowest winning record in the game atm. I have faith that CLEARY May be a good coach but every successful leader has mentors that they can count on. Who at our club atm do we have? A man who sells cheesecakes and a man who ran Hawkesbury race club? Who do we currently have that will seal a potential signing? Sell this club?....Zero. We need football people running a football club. Simple..

But he's Dave's mate. That has to make it a great selection process! :(

Was ridiculous we didn’t give Waddell a run last year when he returned from injury instead of persisting with a badly out of form CHN. Looking like some player.

He missed the 1st 15 weeks or something. Given we had to get an exemption to play Ellis if he was fit Waddell would of played

We are averaging 33.6 tackles in the opposition 20m zone per game in 2019. This is the highest in the NRL.

How many dropped balls do we have in that zone? I swear everytime someone is near or over the line it results in a mistake.

Vs Raiders Kikau and Martin definitely made them. Blake has had a couple over the line. Outside of Jack Bird I doubt any team has as many guys who bomb tries as we do.

The stat measures only tackles made. It would be more if we didn't make errors.

Further sad stats via the NRL

We are 15th we it comes to points scored and 16th for Tries scored.
15th when it comes to possession
Supports 8th
Line breaks 14th
Tackles breaks 14th
All run metres we are last.
Kick return metres 8th.
Off loads 14th.
Line Break assists 14th.
4th for Tackles made.
Total kicks 12th
We are 1st for conversions at 91% Yay. Helps when you don't have to convert many.
Errors made we are the equal 2nd worst team in the NRL. The Roosters have made the same number of errors as us.
We are the 2nd worst team on Penalties conceded.1 behind the Raiders.
Set Completion we are the worst in the NRL The Roosters are 15th. The Roosters having the 4th best defence helps them.
Post contact metres 7th
Decoy runs 4th
All runs 15th
Dummy half runs 13th. We were last a few weeks ago.
Try assist last. That easy we don't score many!
Missed tackles we are the worst in the NRL.
Total kick metre 9th
Ineffective tackles 14th.
We are the 3rd worst for handling errors. The Roosters are the worst. Good defence helps them.

Our Attack sucks, we don't make enough metres, our defence is laughable and we can't hang onto the pill to complete our sets.

Conclusion we stink.

How are our post contact metres high while our run metres are so low?

Looking at the numbers for both... We average 1450 metres per game. 450 of them are post contact metres. Nearly a third of our metres gained are post contact.

Not sure how that works. I think it's a reflection of slow service from hooker possibly?

Our run metres are low cause we are camped inside the opposition red zone all game. The defensive line is up in our face all game, and as we can't get over the line, our metres gained looks low.

Not a true reflection of our go forward IMO, but certainly a reflection on how poor our halves are going at creating point scoring opportunities.

We are also full of players who are strong ball carriers. Say what you like about DWZ, Mansour's and Blake's speed, they take a lot of pulling down. They just can't run out of sight on a dark night.

A long slow wrestle in the ruck may improve post contact metres but it slows the play. We emphasise the strong carry too much. Hard, fast hit the deck is what we need. If you are going to go slow and strong, then FFS offload to create opportunities.

I know plenty of people have been saying it, but now I’ll take my turn.

Surely now with these injuries it’s time to promote some young guns and give them some NRL experience.
Too and Billy Burns would be my preference.
