Well well well. Great to see conservative Australia not being bullied by lefty bullshit. Trounced in QLD and Tas. I think we may have this.

PS. I still live in a the bluest Liberal Seat in the state.
Hopefully this sends a strong message to the f**kwit QLD government.

Thank f**k those nasty lefty loons got what they deserved. Oblivion.

Now ScoMo time to fund a brand new Canberra Stadium by the city preferably with a roof, a stadium for your beloved Sharks next to a train station in the south for them and the Dragons and a boutique Stadium around Chatswood next to a train station for Manly too and we're done for the next 30 to 50 years.

Now get cracking, times are a wasting.

So labor lost two seats each in of QLD and Tassie. Another in Lindsay in western Sydney. That was the difference.

Six seats in doubt with Labor ahead in 4, LNP ahead in 2.

Currently stands LNP 74, Labor 66. Independents 6.

If the seats of Boothby and Chislholm go to LNP, then ScoMo forms a government with 76 seats. Labor 70 independents 6.

So Zali Steggal etc will be a toothless tiger on climate change in the House of Reps. The coalition will have a majority. At worst votes in the lower house could get to 76/76. Not sure what happens then.

In the upper house however, coalition will need the support 5 of the 6 cross benchers to get shit done.

What happened? We had lunch with my MIL yesterday and she said she voted liberal bc labor taxes pensioners and plans a death tax.

If that is any indicator, the libs trumped labor with their own version of the mediscare txt messages fear campaign. Well played.

This is the other thing that I hate about modern politics. And not just in Australia and not just talking about one side.

Votes are won by frightening the uninformed, not by informing them. So we have rusted on old merkins who would vote down party lines even if their candidate was Ivan Milat, the new breed who barrack for "the left" and "the right" like sports teams and hate any idea from "the other team", and then a huge number of people who are mislead by smear campaigns.

The normal everyday person has so much less of a say than they used to

its odd how the polls can be so wrong
That's probably the most pleasing aspect of the election. Maybe the politicians will stop paying too much attention to poll figures and now place more attention on doing the job they were elected to do.

That’s the irony isn’t it. Many leaders have been rolled based on the Newspoll results released on a Sunday night by the The Australian. Previously they were considered to be the tea leaves in the voters cups. What now ?

What now? Do the very best you can in your elected role as a party and let the next election take care of itself.

I guess in hindsight putting a bloke in as captain who had spent too long stinking it up in a dud team was a bad idea. Hindmarsh Shorten.

It’s fake news, Twiz. Who checks those polls? It’s all bullshit and used by the media to influence. Even Sportsbet got dudded by it when they paid out 2 days before the election.

Sportsbet didn't get dudded, they know degenerates will lose all that money back plus more,Sportsbet wins in the end, they know the psyche of degenerates.

With Homer standing down, I guess the front runners for Leader of the Opposition is Albo and Plibalphabet. I like Penny Wong.
