I haven't seen that, as long as its ruled consistent i don't care either way but logically to me it was just play onI’m sure I’ve seen a situation where the player ran 100 to score and they called it back as it was grounded
Also as an aside i believe the current rulea are that the defending player must be intentionally grounding the ball in goal. Ill look the rule up later but i remember this coming up last year
