Why on earth folks are surprised you get stripped, if about to score, promotion of footy tends to promote less security, ability to force

I’ve seen several instances in recent seasons of the defender being allowed to get out of his in goal after grounding it, but don’t recall a try for the opposition being allowed in that situation. Probably fair considering he clearly was trying to get out but I expected them to go back to the grounding.

Why? it's not a free hit, the attacking team did no wrong, if you want to run the risk of trying to get it out you should be held responsible for any potential mistakes
