I think cronk had to have a fair idea that his hit was possibly going to be early. Id not be all that dirty about a raider copping a sin bin there. It was absolutely the right move by cronk. Papalii gets a clean take on the ball and he is hard to stop but if taking a guy early with the try line open isnt a sin bin what is ?

Like any closer to the try line and id want a penalty try tbh.

Also teams are really good at defending with 12 these days. Cronk did what he had to do but most of the defenses ive seen for it has been papalii is very big which is nonsensical

Changing a decision on the run is not allowed in any rule book.

The rules absolutely do not say that.
