White Shorts instead of Gold?

That's up to personal preference. White shorts don't say "Parra" to me (nor does a white jersey) despite the early history with it, and gold shorts are hardly used in RL outside of Brisbane and PNG. Gold as a primary colour is pretty unique in the sport and contrasts with just about every other primary colour that other teams use.

Unless they're as good or better than the alternatives available. Consulting a third party for changes to the logo would have been another option, and if they already did this, they needed to do it with someone else or actually listened to what the third party had to say.

A few hours work for some crane operators and couple of vinyl wrap guys. The colour change brings it into line with the rest of the Panthers Group venues (of which there are many), not to mention this years jersey. The logo will be seen by millions this season. I believe it was worth the effort.

Some great new releases there. As an Eels supporter I was never happy with the incorrect font on the rear Hardiplank sponsor on the 82 replica. But now they can't even place the front Hardie's sponsor onto the stripes correctly

The socks are a part of an overall on-field look. Granted, they’re not exactly going to ruin things if they get it wrong, but if even a tiny bit of thought were to go into the socks it would just tie everything together.

That would probably imply a change in the NRL operations manual since compression socks can't be worn above the line of the team socks. So either the operations manual has changed, the Dragons and XBlades are breaking the rules, or its a sock that isn't to be used in the season proper. I really hope its the third because they look like touch footy players.

Following on from that Cowboys indigenous jersey above, I believe the artwork in this PDF will be the basis of a new indigenous jersey for Storm. This is the second Reconciliation Action Plan put out by Storm and the artwork shown in the first one was the basis of every Storm indigenous jersey up to now. That's why I figure this will be what the new one looks like.
