Its not that complicated. West Tigers came into existence in 1999. Therefore 2019 is their 20th Anniversary and have existed for 20 years in that year. They first played in the NRL in 2000 therefore 2019 is their 20th season.

Where is the WTF?

I find it remarkable you can't even spell your own club's name but you're trying to lecture others on the concept of anniversaries, years and seasons.

All of your points are rendered moot by the fact that in describing 20 YEARS on their logo for 2019, they actually inserted "2000 - 2019". They've mucked up the wording, end of story.

design-wise it looks a lot better to be cleaner and less cluttered, especially when comparing it to the nsw jersey, but you'd think they'd have the same amount of corporate support as nsw

It's an interesting one - last year they waited as long as possible before giving Intrust Super a cut-price deal to feature on the front. In recent years both Suncorp and XXXX have reduced their investments - not sure why - although on the QRL site XXXX are listed as the first partner.

I imagine by the time Origin 1 rolls around they'll have added a sleeve sponsor but it is odd to see such little sponsorship.

Im not trying to lecture anyone. Do you see an issue with any of my points? The "20 years" bit of the wording is correct by any measure as I have pointed out. The 2000-19 is clearly wrong as it relates to seasons not years but I'd add that the original discussion wasnt in relation to a close up of the logo like this, it was a photo of Maguires shirt and I couldnt notice the 2000-19

It's been designed by maori people for a club in New Zealand, I'm happy if it's not balanced, their design. Same applies to indigenous jerseys. as long as the number on the back is easy to read I don't have an issue.

As for the TP text, I'm beginning to think the NRL aren't terribly fussed on how it looks, as the logo itself is what they want people to see and be able to recognise. Seems to be the only reason we have a plethora of teams with white on white.

They didn't play in 1999. Melbourne's 20 years was 1998 despite it being formed at the end of 1997.

The club was formed in '99. The fact that they didn't play isn't of concern to them obviously.

Not quite. "The 2000-2019" bit is irrelevant to my point because I was unaware of it at the time I made my point (as I believe was the original poster who raised it). So to quote (not paraphrase) my point was ....in 2019 it will be the 20th anniversary of the WestS Tigers (they were founded in 1999), in 2019 it will be 20 years since they were founded and 2019 will be their twentieth season. Stand by all of this, its irrefutable and Im not sure why people are trying to make a big deal (even with the 2000-2019 below it, who cares?).

just f**k up dickhead. when my dad plugged my mum and I was a sperm that wasnt when i was born was it, so when Joe Blow and Johh Smith thought hey maybe we should call a team Wests Tigers it doesnt mean shit. They didn't exist until 2000. The f**king badge says 2000.
Im not debating that its 20 seasons, but if your celebrating 20 years, do it when your 20 years old, not 19...
