Tracking on par with last two years actual growth figures which is positive. Good to see Warriors finally coming good. Surprised at Eels, thought they would have been well in front with the stadium opening, maybe they have converted more into full ticketed this year?

We should at least beat 2016 and 2017 figures. Time will tell if we catch and pass last years final totals.
Not sure where this kind of overtly pessimistic, borderline ludicrous assessment comes from.

Figures are counted well into July, another three months - it would take a world-ending asteroid to stop us reaching 2016's final total, and based on the current trends it would be surprising if we didn't make it to a new record figure.

Seriously can you please tell me where the “pessimistic, borderline, ludicrous assessment” comes in my comment? Go back and reread what I said and you will find you have made a total idiot of yourself. I said we should beat 2016 and 2017 totals, but only time will tell if we beat last years figures.

Gee I have a hard time understanding you sometimes.

Your post comes across as though there was still doubt over the 2016-2017 totals which is just about given, and even a laypersons assessment of trends of growth in recent years will tell you the final total will beat last years.

What you said was unusual.

Just because I used the word “should” instead of “will” you want to take a shot at me. How picky is that. I have seen others here use the word “should,” are you going to take a shot at them?

I am surprised Manly are so low
I would have thought they would be closer to the 20k mark

I was thinking this, but then looking at Timmah's last table most are actually on track with the same date last year despite being a fair bit off the total.

I'd say your right and the one game memberships are the reason for that

I know with the storm they started selling origin mcg memberships around this time, probably boosted the figure a bit that wont happen this year

One game 'memberships' shouldn't be included in the total, gives a false indication of what a member base is. Sure it's great to help build a database of supporters to turn into member but effectively they're just people buying a ticket to one match. Should be a 3 game minimum to be called a 'member'.

Just did a sad little snipping tool mark-up (lol) on who's up and who's down on same time last year - 10 of 16 are improved, and in most cases by a fairly good margin.

Interested to know why you think this.

I used to be annoyed at the Bunnies because they have so many non-ticketed members but the more I thought about it, good on them for understanding that not everyone wants to go to every game but still signing people up as a captive audience.

The more members clubs have - ticketed or not - the more people they have the ability to market directly to for all kinds of purposes.

I also think it's shit that someone is considered any less a member because they can't attend as many games, whether that's for health, location or other reasons. Why should they be not considered a member?

I think this is right. I'm a non ticketed Tigers member and occasionally get basically advertising emails from our lawyer sponsors (brydens). I am sure that Tigers would be able to extract a higher sponsorship value out of them by saying our membership base is 20k plus rather than saying we have 6,000 full ticket members.
