Some classic qld arrogance.
Walters came across a bit odd to the point that he is facing the firing squad knowing his team is just about to get a fisting. I mean, who the f**k gave him the acting lessons during the week after he named the Qld side?

Don't see QLD doing much of anything this series. We're in rebuild mode.
NSW simply has the form players QLD doesn't.
Hopefully it's a good game for 60 minutes at least before NSW blows us out.

The Blues are deserving favourites but I'm not writing the Maroons off at all and not convinced of a win next Wednesday. There are a couple of question marks over our team but we do have it over you in some ways especially up front and in the dummy half role.

Sure anything can happen at kick off. Reality is though Cooke is in unbelievable form, Tedesco probably in career best form as well.

NSW achilies heel is probably Cleary, but DCE hasn't played in 5 weeks. Munster isn't going that great either. Execept when playing Parra where he somehow turns into Superman.

Ponga is the X factor but Hunt brings rhe pain... for the team he plays for.

Not sure about Kevin Walters as coach. Might as well have gone with the Walker Bros. Same result, but damn it'd be fun to watch.

it's rep football. no such thing as rebuild. QLD can't tempt Damien Cook with coin and recruit him for next series.

you have the players or you don't.

so much energy being used just to avoid naming the other team. QLD built up an aura after 10 series wins in 11 years, but they've made NSW kings of this contest after just one series win.

Right now we don't. Doesn't mean that we can't start the re-build process by giving players like Reed Mahoney a shot off the bench in game 3 if it's 2-0 NSW as predicted. Right now Mahoney isn't ready, doesn't mean you don't start building for the future.
If a series is lost something has to be gained from that that can be carried forward.
