Official Lemon weather update... pissed down all yesterday evening into the night, almost drowned at the Lazy Shag.. but has eased up this morn.

Bit of cloud around still might get another shower or two but should be sweet by early arvo.

Will still be a wet slippery surface, God help NSW if Fergo, Wighton and Maloney all have a ‘Rocks’ day.

i reckon DCE does it himself. that first half of his raiding the NSW left edge was sublime. QLD just didn't convert the opportunities with the final pass.
I've heard a lot of players mentioned as future immortals, but DCE isn't one of them. The reason for this is that for every blinder he has, he has half a dozen average performances and one or two shockers. The law of averages dictates that he won't carve NSW up again in this game, and the law of learning from your mistakes dictates that NSW should be ready even if he tries. I would expect N Cleary, whose defence has never been doubted, to keep a very close eye on him.

Game day!

Saw a lot of blue and maroon around town yesterday, everyone I speak to asks about the game because I’ve been living in Blues gear since Friday.

Anyone who has flown over for the game check out Blasta Brewing Co, it’s a short walk from Burswood train station and is much better than the Camfield which will probably cost you and kidney for a pint.

Let’s face facts new south welshmen:

- We’ve picked two guys out of position in the backline
- Picked another that is known for hero plays trying to rush out of the line
- Drop clearly the best centre in the game
- Picked the halves combo that is currently responsible for the second LEAST amount of points in the NRL this year
- Are missing our best forward from origin one

And...you expect us to win???

See ya Freddy, enjoy your last game coaching origin

We've won with worse teams. We won with Reynolds and Hodkinson as halves

Good test of the new pitch drainage, absolutely hammered it down all night, my duck ponds flooded :) few dark clouds around but seems to be breaking up. Can’t wait!

Maloney is a big plus for NSW. He is a genuine big game player who has been there and done that and will provide better ball then Walker. Have a feeling he will be pumped up with something to prove.

I think Qld will get the chocolates in this one fellas. Typical Blues picking players out of position, it hasn’t worked in the past & probably won’t tonight.

Too much has been made of the blues changes, it's still a very capable team. NSW got carved up down the left side in game 1, so Freddy has pushed Mitchell and Walker out. NSW forwards got bashed in the second half so Freddy has added some mongrel to the bench.

QLD were very good in game 1, can they be that good again away from Suncorp?
