Hard to pick.

We have the mental edge after last year's semi and edge them on paper.
Souths will have a lot to prove and Bennett will have them well prepared.
Both teams have had a solid hitout with the WCC and CS preseason games.

Expecting a close one, could be one of the classic round 1 games.

Roosters by 7.

If that is the case, then he won't get much relief as on the other side then as he'll be facing Joseph Manu.

You wouldn't have him in the centres - full stop.

The bath Lafai gave him in the Charity Shield was obviously concerning enough for Bennett to put him where he should always be - wing.

Lafai hadn't beaten his opposite in years yet looked unstoppable against Gags.

Souths by 6 - GI will take the field but whether he plays the whole game is another matter.
I don’t think Angus will be missed.

Benny shitting himself about Latrell tearing Gags a new one.

You’ll find Inglis had no preseason so for the first few games he’ll be playing right centre until he’s match fit.
He will shift back to fullback and Lady Gaga back to his normal right centre.

Could be played on a good old fashioned slophole the likes of which we haven't seen for 30 years, if the rain continues as is forecast. Anyone remember Bear Park in the rain, circa 70s and 80s? What genius decided to close Allianz? What genius schedules FOUR different codes on the SCG? What could possibly go wrong?

Who wins this is anyone's guess, especially if the rain continues. I'll go for the Bunnies but its a lottery.

No coach would want a player who can't tackle lining up against Latrell Mitchell. If Tim Lafai is carving you up then its panic stations against Mitchell. It seems Benny still has his marbles.
