I know we are missing a few but that dogs team is aids as f**k. Should win easy. Let Bateman rest another week.

Now that the NSW origin star missed his call up, watch him have a blinder.

Bulldogs are specials.

This is the most confident i've ever been in our team in the last 5 years.
Of course it's largely due to Canberra missing players, but f**k me you gotta believe in yourself once in a while, ya know? Now is the time mighty Bulldogs, get stuck in.

Hmmmm Bulldogs playing the same team their reserve grade put 50 on yesterday. They should be right.
Nope. Mounties have been killing it this season. Dogs hammered Mounties solely because Mounties have bigger fish to fry with som3 of their players jumping to the NRL. Canberra absolute specials.

Only 4 of our 17 this week actually played in that Mounties game so I don't know why it keeps being brought up.

Erm, you can check the team-lists- NONE of our 17 actually played that game (now that Guler is out for Bateman), Starling, Sezer & Kris were all pulled out & didn't play so they would be ok for firsts this week- but yeah it's still being brought up.

Ahhh didn't know they were pulled. So Doggies reserves winning 50 whatever has even less relevance now. No excuses for our boys.

Two of the powerhouse clubs of the 90s not looking anything like it these days.

One of the most memorable games I’ve attended was the 1994 semifinal between the two. It was a gripping contest with the Bulldogs vaunted defence holding out the brilliant raiders and winning by a point in extra time. Sticky hit the post with a field goal attempt. Raiders got the ultimate victory though, winning the GF a couple of weeks later.

Next season, the Bulldogs claimed revenge, thumping Canberra in the preliminary final to advance to the grand final, which they won.

Surprisingly, Canberra hasn’t been in a GF since.

Sadly this game won’t be a scintilla as good.

I forgot just how great the 1994 prelim was! Watching the replay now. All I remembered before, was that there were 2 finals matches that were epic by these two in the 90s.

This one won 19-18 by the dogs, included not one, but two Sticky game-winning field goal attempts hitting the upright. Craig Polla-Mounter losing the ball in a tackle only a meter or so from the line, that would’ve won the match.

So many other clutch moments that made this one of the best games ever.

Raiders have the league’s best player returning from injury, it’s a matter of how many.
