As a purple scum supporter, I wouldn't give two shits about losing in golden point. Be dropping Croft for sulking after that match. Golden point is a bit of a lottery, so no point sulking when you don't win.
He really hasn’t lived up to the hype has he?

I know he’s young, and had a lot of expectation lumped on him. But if you’re going to over call Munster, you need to f**king nail your shot.

How Smith didn't take the penalty kick, which even if he ended up missing had a better chance on succeeding than anything Croft managed to come up with. Munster f**ked up my fantasy call, so I'm trying not to mention him.

That was weird huh? Does he not have the distance anymore?

I reckon they pump Manly at Brookvale in a few weeks.

Nah, the cool breezes and the taste of a pub meal that Storm fans would have mortgage their house to afford will fuel our teams energy. Big Dick Marty and AFB to run a train on the Storm.

I think it may have been worthy of a send off. But the NRL seems to have a higher threshold than I do about what constitutes a send off.

In saying that, I think Cotric’s was worse because he drove. Only saw the replay quickly, but it looked like Jurbo was lifting, lost his grip on the leg, and then lost balance and went over the storm player.
Yeah you could be right, i only saw the replay out of the corner of my eye
i think the NRL did the right thing in sending off Cotric, but it was easy, the game was over... this feels like a ref avoiding a tough but right call that might decide the game. Which is a responsibilty they are literally paid for

@t-ba

You reckon there’s any Manly bandwagon jerseys floating around the op shops up that way?

I’ve gotta support someone in the finals.

With the Swans playing shit and the Wallabies shot you will probably have to get in quickly, but you never know!

Not sure. But even if he falls short he would have Manly on their own goal line. Very strange to not even attempt it, could've passed it off to Munster to kick it if Smith wasn't confident.

Not up to the on field ref any more, any send off like that comes from the bunker where they review and they can look at all the indicators as to whether or not it warrants a send off. Obviously Jurbos didn't meet the same parameters as Cotrics. Could hear Atkins asking whether or not Jurbo was to stay on the field

Hey look, I've been to the Storm Heartland, Logan City and there's no way a pub meal at the Brookvale hotel costs any less than two houses in Browns Plains.

Yeah that's fine
'But ill bet if Manly are up 24-10 at that point, he's sent off.

In all fairness if we were up 24-10 and it was somehow still Golden Point it'd definitely be a game in Melbourne.
haha , fair

Point is he's on the field only because the game is tight. if it's decided either way, he sent
Which speaks to a wider issue within the code. The officials swing wildy from wanting to establish themselves as a presence and never wanted to ever impact the game. And this is where we land.

I'll agree with you there, RL refs are absolute pussies. It is one area where Union, American Football, MMA, etc. all have an edge on the NRL and AFL, whether you like the sports or not no officials in these sports would ever allow themselves to be bullied the way the refs in RL do. Even in Super League the refs are quite happy to tell wankers to take a walk. For whatever reason in Australian sport we seem hell bent on having officials who are strict on the opposition and piss weak against whichever team we back.
