Don't really know what to say about the Broncos really. Just no management from key players and no leadership. Pretty embarrassing when you've got 19/20 year old kids leading the way for them in front of guys who have played for QLD, Australia etc.

If there was every going to be a game to inspire them this was it. Coming of back to back loses, playing at home against a struggling team and having all the grey haired old boys all firing shots at them all week....yet they just imploded. Might even miss the finals entirely.

I am usually optimistic and think it will eventually turn around but it's looking pretty f**king grim right now, halves can't get us where we need to be in clutch moments, young forwards look promising as ever but that won't help us this year

I am getting tired of hearing this "yeah but Souths started slow last year", they also had some genuine game breakers in the spine in Walker and Cook with Reynolds there to get the team around the park, the biggest thing was lack is a game controlling halfback, if we did, we'd be a completely different proposition

From the moment Reynolds screwed us out of that try with the dive, I knew we were cooked. That is exactly the sort of moment that makes young players crack the sads and drop their heads, and that is not helped by invisible leadership from a captain who isn't afraid to sook it up himself. We may as well have 17 juniors running around out there because the efforts from our most senior players are close to the worst in the whole squad.

This is not going to be a good year for Rugby League in QLD.

The Broncos must be absolutely kicking themselves for missing some gilt edged chances in the first half

Bird and the 13 bombed two absolute sitters.

Sure the Tigers missed a couple too with Jennings and Masters I think, but those dropped tries really set the tone for Brisbane
