Where’s the experience coming from?

Tamou is experienced, as is Grant and Mckendry. RCG is a current AUS rep, JFH is a current kiwi rep, Isaah Yeo was our captain to finish the year, how much more experience do we need in the pack?

We aren't a team of babies anymore and Merrin wasn't really providing any leadership and his form wasn't great. The leaders in our pack are Yeo, JFH and RCG now. They have been around for years now.

Who would be less experienced then us?

The squad is actually more inexperienced at the start of 2019 than it was at the start of 2018. Even taking into account the games played during 2018.

We’ve lost over 650 games experience in the last year.

Yet we’ve been told several times the squad is too inexperienced.

They might not have 200 games each but they've got finals and rep footy under them now so it's as good experience as is needed.

of course someone like Knights would like that. Compare it too Storm or Roosters though which is the level we are trying to get too. That is the issue with us getting to week 3 of the semis

The storm and the roosters didn't get to where they are by overpaying players just because they are experienced.

Gus has said we are developing the current guys for when they are experienced in terms of number of games played. As long as we keep a core group(maybe not if they release everyone) it would pay off.

Despite that he wasn't a leader at the club. Midway through last season Merrin himself was talking about missing RCGs leadership. I don't see why we would keep him if we had the chance to move him on, his money can be better spent elsewhere.

they don't but they replace what they lose. Perfect example Ferguson was too expensive so they get Morris. Storm are always taking guys like Bryan Norrie that have been around but need a new start. Nothing stopping us doing the same

As I said. Our top 17 is one of the top in the comp. Where we fall behind is releasing depth players just call up a rookie.

We sign blokes like Norrie all the time. Tim Grant, Tim Browne, Latimore etc Im sure(or I hope) they are looking at signing another prop.
