I think workload and speed of the game may have hindered him this year to be honest. It was a long year for a front rower though, I still think he has plenty to offer and is still an asset to us.
No one is doubting that mate. Incredibly important to us.

I think the aggression thing is less and less prevalent now due to the pace of the game, it's really taken the enforcers down abit. In previous years you'd make a tackle, dominate the opponent and give the opposition some push and shove, may be abit of niggle now you do that and it's a set restart, you push someone too hard and it's a penalty or sin bin. Look across the league who are the enforcers now? In my opinion the best enforcer of the last 5 years has been JWH, even he's had way less of an impact this year, Pangai who was an enforcer of sorts quickly became his team's ultimate liability.

Seeing this kid play and hearing him speak about the kNights gives me a lot of confidence in the years ahead. He's got Superstar written all over him.

Bradman's best laid plans are for a future with the Knights

As for Best, who exudes speed and strength in that 103kg frame, he's not interested in plying his trade elsewhere. He was born just down the road at Gosford and is a Wyong Roos junior.

"This is definitely home. I want to do whatever I can for this club, as they've done a lot for me," Best told NRL.com.

"I want to pay them back any way I can by playing good, consistent footy and helping bring more success here."

You know what... I'm going to go full mental stupid here and suggest it could work.

Norman has the tools to be a good 6 down that left corridor if all he does is asked to play simple. We all know he has a better skill set than Mann and if Norman's game is simplified and mainly tasked with getting the ball the Ponga quickly and in space, I'm all for it.

What's the contract situation though.

He's on huge money for 2021. Dragons would need to be tipping in plenty then he's taking a pay cut from 2022.

I thought we have a no dickheads policy?

I think Norman would have trouble getting any contract in the NRL these days- he's obviously cancer

Corey Norman would probably be captain of my most overrated 17 of the last 10 years. Surely AOB wouldn’t even consider it.

Yeah I bet the first thing AOB thought when he saw Corey Norman kick it out on the full against us a few weeks ago was "I better get on the phone to this guy's agent, he's exactly what we need at our club".

NYC player of the year, QLD Cup Rookie of the year and Halfback of the year, Cowboys Rookie of the year, under 20s SOO halfback and Captain of the Junior Kangaroos.

Still only 22 years old and plenty of improvement to go I'd say.
Pretty sure Beau Henry had similar credentials, from what I saw of him this year in 1st grade he was pretty ordinary, the game against Canberra he almost single handedly lost them that game with terrible game management and last tackle options and was dropped for about 6 weeks after that game. Burton would be ideal, with his size and running game I think he could be a Jack Wighton like 5/8th.

35 NRL games into his career and playing behind a largely beaten pack in an under performing team I'd expect some bumps in the road.

I wouldnt expect immediate results from any young half we recruit. We're a long way from being a serious contender.

The only other option would be to look for an existing gun with plenty of NRL experience and there arent too many of those around.

I get the recruiting young half angle just wasn't really sure why Clifford was on the top of everyone's lists
