That's just embarrassing. The NRL was essentially giving Perth a trial run for a new team, and yet they screwed it. Would of been a bigger crowd even if it was played at Shark Park!

How is this Mickey Mouse tournament a trial run for an NRL team? It’s a second rate event at best. Perth’s crowds at NRL matches/SOO/international matches are far more indicative of their interest in rugby league. Also the whole point is that putting a team there increases the interest. This idea that you can just shit all over Perth and ignore them for decades and then expect sell out crowds is BS. How long do they have to support stuff like this before the NRL finally give them a team?

Parra drew a total of 27,000 to the 9s in October (again thanks to the NRLs inept scheduling and promotion)
