They're calling it a hip drop tackle which they've been penalising for weeks now. Jesse Bromwich missed a game against Parramatta for making a similar tackle on Ikuvalu.

And if people looked up on the same page, Taunoa-Brown from the Warriors got one week for one last week. I didn't notice it during the game, and wasn't until the video was posted above.

The hip drop tackle looks innocuous but it has lead to a number of ankle injuries in the NRL.

"I guess he isn't a big name player" isn't relevant. Crusher Tackles have been upped as of a couple of weeks ago to 200 base penalty, so even a star player being charged with one f**ks them.

Unfortunately for Riki, he picked up priors and carryovers in ISC last season so he's stuck with the 2 weeks and can't plea it down.

Just saw a replay of the grubby tackle by the Storm player, referred straight to the judiciary. It looks intentional and ordinary.
I thought Paulo was hard done by at first, but now I am on board, grade 1 for the accidental ones, so the players can work on their tackling technique, and throw the book at storm pieces of shit trying to intentionally injure opponents.
