His team just finished the regular season in 3rd place after losing only 5 games all year.
If we lose our Finals games there may be questions asked, but he has done enough to keep his job I would think.

we finished 3rd, higher than 3 of last years top 4, including both grand finalists. All you can ask for is improvement year on year and he has delivered that.

Sure I don’t want to bow out in straight sets, but it’s hardly a failure worthy of questioning the coaches position or if happens

Their thoughts were maybe BA can get the team to a certain level but not able to take them all the way. I guess this year will tell a lot. I reckon we have a magnificent roster that should be capable of winning the comp. I was terribly impressed with our play around The Roosters game. We get back to that form and indeed we are a great chance.

Depends what happens.

We may win this weekend. If not we may the following.

Bar two complete floggings he will be fine. But if we are beaten by 13+ in both games you may as well pay him out and move on.

They spoke like the eels were going out in straight sets, FFS we may not win this week (reckon we will go a lot better then some expect) but there is a pretty good chance we beat knights/Souths at bankwest the week after. Knights haven’t been in great form and Souths are hot/cold.

what a load of s**t, he just coached a team to 3rd spot. There’s 13 sides worse off then us after the regular season!
Going out in straight sets wouldn’t be great, but his job is safe for next year.
And how does ikin and co not know that the dip in form was on purpose and BA may have had our boys on a larger training load to build up to finals?
