Dont forget that Souths centre already found guilty but his sentencing deferred till after the grand final. DV the sort of stuff the NRL usually takes a hard line on, especially someone already found guilty.... but no Souths were lacking depth in the backline so nothing to see here

He is a huge part of your attack it is easier to defend if he's not there.

Honestly dont see how bookies have such clear favorites in either game this weekend.

Both games should be close and likely not decided until the 80th minute with luck probably having a bearing on the result. Could easily come down to the bounce of a ball or a missed goal etc.

Very possible a team from bottom 4 wins the competition.

Agreed. It’s nice for once all 4 teams having a chance rather than the bore of the last few years where if the Rossters turn up they win.

Honestly I don't understand how anyone can actually call this game a coin toss. Panthers 1 loss all year. Souths lost to the spooners only a month ago.

Same here. I think both games will be won convincingly by both Penrith and Melbourne. They have been the two form sides of the comp, and it's not surprising that they are both heavy faves in the money markets.

Pressure and expectation does strange things. I've watched my team lose 4 prelim finals in 8 years (even if we weren't always favourites). Souths will be out to put them off their game and make them do silly things. About the worst thing they could do is mouth off or start any niggle. If they just play their footy they're tough to beat.

In saying that, it's all about defence for Souths. Our attack is sublime and our middle has been terrific all year, but our edges are shaky. Crichton and Yeo the big dangers IMO.

I think it'll either be a close win to the Rabbitohs or a big win to the Panthers.

Souths are dangerous, Cook and Walker can tear any side apart if they get on a roll. Penrith will have to be good(obviously) our middle in particular needs have a big game and win the ruck as much as possible to deny cook and walker the chance to play off momentum. It should be an exciting game, both spines have players in fantastic form.

Ivan Cleary would be wise to keep Jerome Luai in check. Great player but if he decides to put on his wanker routine Souths will definitely be up for that game.

We've scored 296 in our past 8 matches. That's why it's being talked up. As you said though, our defence doesn't hold a candle to yours and is the test.

IMO this match is more about Penrith's mental fortitude than anything.

The 50/50 games were last week and both Penrith and Storm are major steps up this year from all 4 teams that played last week.
