Not really sure defending the Dogs attacking ploy of 5 one out hit ups in the opposition 20 was that tough TBH
Parra's defence is notoriously weak in the middle. Every team attacks us there, and after we compress to try and cope they spread the ball. The Dogs centres had 27 carries between them, which is more than you'll see in most games.

There's no point having the halfback run the ball when there's no gaps in front of him. That's called a hit up, and for a player under 90kg it would just lead to a slow play the ball.

That is ludicrous. By that token no "small" player would ever run to the line as there are rarely any gaps. If you are going to constantly play "before the line" and never take it on, you are playing predictable football which is very easy to defend against. Why do you think Andrew Johns bangs on about halfbacks taking the line on all the time?

Also a hit up is where they tuck the ball in and just run straight into the defence, did I say he should do that? Nope.

lol

RCG having a beer.

Did not think they did that anymore.

Should have been around in the 70's that one.
Great northern is hardly considered a beer even by today’s standards.

In the 70’s he would have been ostracised for his lifestyle choices.

There's a right time to run the ball and in some games there are very few of those times. Last time we played the Dogs he ran the ball eight times and we lost. Last night he ran twice and we won. Cronk only ran three times in the grand final. If it's not on it's not on.
