People were submitting that you need a couple of good forwards after the Sam retirement. There’s a small but noticeable gap.

So Arrow would be in the mix if he’s willing to head down.

I’ve heard you guys are the other club in the mix for Arrow too.

Has been other rumours around linking Gagai/AJ to you guys as well, once again no idea if there is any truth to that.

Also what’d you make of this young forward who hasn’t played first grade yet and you guys signed him for reasonable money if I heard correctly?

Another rumour going around was Madge was looking at Kyle Turner for your pack as well. For mine he’d be a solid addition for you guys a handy no frills player who can do a job off the bench and covers centre too if a back goes down in a game, personally I wanted Souths to keep Turner on a bit of a cheaper deal.

I wouldn't worry about the pinball wizard. He won't be playing much longer. His play will get him some serious injuries soon. One of his legs is already buckling.

I am not keeping up with all the signings, but we have garner and twal and they are tradesman. There’s a feeling that Madge is a forwards coach and he has the boys punching a bit above their weight, but our backs are suspect at the best of times ( thus latrell).

I think he’s enjoying lifting a lower standard playing group than tweaking a good one, which he couldn’t manage for you guys for awhile.

Turner is good but we bought Jennings and he was a bit of a disaster for his ability. I’d be happy with Turner.

Ethan Lowe has just turned into a complete champion under Bennet. His career was in ruins, he was an afterthought. Next minute he’s origin hero.

Madge is buying cheap fringe type players in the main, building up I guess. But he’s very very popular in Tigerland and he’s found a good home!

You guys have a very good coach. He's a discipline coach, but he knows what he's doing. You can tell that by this year's results compared to previous years. I wouldn't be surprised at all to see you regulars in the semis very soon.

Can’t believe the bit where Weidler says we only have 250k spare in our cap.

I don’t believe that as I don’t believe anyone from within the club would’ve released that to him.

He also claims Souths have 28 contracted players when it's actually 29 until Sam's contract is cleared.

I don't believe Souths have millions free but I'd be shocked/disappointed if it's $250k. But then again, cap management has been poor since 2015.
