Tickets to origin 1 at the MCG have been reduced to $35 for an adult.
Suncorp has nearly sold out for game 2, just waiting on gold ($210 a pop behind the posts level 2) to sell out. Then the tix held for group bookings and restricted view will be released.
Sales for game 3 haven’t really moved at all.
Absolutely. Was there big talk of the fact that Richmond pulled 18k against GWS on Saturday night? Even though it was at Marvel that is a pretty big yikes for them. Not surprised at the price drop in Melb. Whilst crowds for AFL and the Storm here have come back to a degree this year, there's a noticeable drop off (~20% in AFL) on 2019, with issues around ticketing, seating and transportation having an impact, along with the conservatism and crowd limitations associated with COVID. Hopefully at that price point, there's a lot more interest. We do need to see more advertising down here, I haven't seen nearly as much as I would expect for such a premium event.
And the AFL weren’t happy. Richmond bitched and moaned about having to play there and basically told their supporters not to turn up. There was a very blunt call after from the AFL to Richmond.Absolutely. Was there big talk of the fact that Richmond pulled 18k against GWS on Saturday night? edit: just googles and yes lots of talk about that crowd (and the drop).
8947 for Sharks vs Dragons last night.
The round 1 clash was also terrible crowd wise. What’s the point of having two clubs from a similar area if they can’t get a half decent crowd against each other.is the tribalism Vlandys keeps talking about as the future of the nrl?
looked like the warriors biggest crowd of the year at gosford last night
mabes 7K
most were tigers supporters yea.
y
i spose gosford is as neutral as you'll get so i get thatnot a whole lot of Warriors fans up Gosford way. Didn’t really matter last year but I’m actually kinda surprised they didn’t look at playing at a Sydney venue this season to get more of the Sydney fan base to attend.

hopefully the sharks can return to their ground by next year? Kogorah has consistently underdelivered for the last few years. Are there many dragon fans there still? I know they have a lot of fans but where do they live?

a lot of NZers in Brisbane tooI’m surprised they didn’t base themselves at Redcliffe. would have been nicer and cheaper.

around 22K of them turned up to the anzac day clash
but few turned up to the bulldogs game a few weeks ago or last night
