Avg so far 13,880. On track for the worse crowd avg year in 20 years.
Covid concerns, rule changes, lack of competitive games, two clubs playing away from home, staleness about the nrl? what’s the reasons?
Really no excuse for that crowd figure but on a cold Thursday night with steady rain all day at a ground that only has one covered grand stand was always going struggle to get a decent crowd.
Precisely a reason why these suburban grounds are detrimental to growth in the NRL

So why didn't they play this game at Parramatta where it would draw 20,000?Tonight the Tigers play at a 'sold out' ground. Less than 10k will be there Covid restrictions there.
NO NO NO THEY SHOULD MAKE USE OF WIN STADIUM AND GET OUT OF SYDNEY FULL TIME...MAYBE PLAY 3 GAMES AT SFS.NEXT YEAR DRAGONS SHOULD PLAY 1ST 7 HOME GAMES AT BANKWEST THEN LAST 5 AT NEW SYSDNEY FOOTBALL STADIUM. MONEY MONEY MONEY AN HEAPS OFF NEW CORPORATE BOXES TO SELL.
Because Parramatta isn't their home ground. So why didn't they play this game at Parramatta where it would draw 20,000?
The days aren't gone, they're just restricted by COVID. There was 19k there in 2019.So the crowd at Leichhardt was only just over 9, 000, it looked more on TV. Gone are the days where you could pack 18-20,000 into the ground, as archaic as the ground is i like Leichhardt because you are on top or so close to the action unlike some of the other sh*t hole suburban grounds.
Its going to be a long while for that considering Leichhardt Oval is at least 50 % hill, hope you are right though because there is nothing better than Leichhardt Oval heaving to the bream , just has so much atmosphere at that groundThe days aren't gone, they're just restricted by COVID. 100%. Hopefully we're back to some kind of normality in 2022.Its going to be a long while for that considering Leichhardt Oval is at least 50 % hill, hope you are right though because there is nothing better than Leichhardt Oval heaving to the bream , just has so much atmosphere at that ground
