Really no excuse for that crowd figure but on a cold Thursday night with steady rain all day at a ground that only has one covered grand stand was always going struggle to get a decent crowd.

Avg so far 13,880. On track for the worse crowd avg year in 20 years.
Covid concerns, rule changes, lack of competitive games, two clubs playing away from home, staleness about the nrl? what’s the reasons?

Where to start with this.

Tonight the Tigers play at a 'sold out' ground. Less than 10k will be there Covid restrictions there. So Covid restrictions knock a fair chunk off. Prob 1000 atleast less ave a week

Games have been held at

Mudgee
Bathurst
Dubbo
Wagga
Tamworth
Coff Harbour.

You spread the game to such places the crowd ave drops.

Broncos being rubbish means they aren't drawing 40k crowds like in the past

Warriors not being home and playing in front of 4-5k every week (Mostly due to the poor timeslots)

AFL was down 8k a game ave. That was before the Melbourne lockdowns so it is a sport in general issue now

So the crowd at Leichhardt was only just over 9, 000, it looked more on TV. Gone are the days where you could pack 18-20,000 into the ground, as archaic as the ground is i like Leichhardt because you are on top or so close to the action unlike some of the other sh*t hole suburban grounds.

The days aren't gone, they're just restricted by COVID. There was 19k there in 2019.

Its going to be a long while for that considering Leichhardt Oval is at least 50 % hill, hope you are right though because there is nothing better than Leichhardt Oval heaving to the bream , just has so much atmosphere at that ground

100%. Hopefully we're back to some kind of normality in 2022.

Yes all suburban grounds with the big hills are going to be restricted for a while unfortunately.
The Dragons will never leave Kogarah, and nor should they. Get over it.

Origin 2 has basically sold out. They are down to selling absentee stadium member seats. Might be a few stray group/ promoter allocations to be released randomly but it will be 52,xxx.
