I think we lose on Friday night, but it won’t be a big loss points wise and they get their cage rattled hardcore…. And also because we have this silly three wins, one loss thing going on this year. Of course, if the pattern holds, we go on to win the next three games 😉😉
The pattern ended last weekend, Manly's 4th straight win. So you haven't got that to worry about any longer. If you'd taken Tom off with 15 to go, you might have had a chance.

The Pattern remains.

Cowboys game doesn't count because the Cowboys were already on their holiday. Read this thread for that expert analysis.

Therefore, we didn't play last week.

We'll lose to the Storm and win the next three.

I am looking forward to all four games this weekend. I think most of them will be tight. I do think the Storm may be too strong for Manly. Apart from Tommy, I think they won't ignore Garrick either. Expect a score line of something like Storm 22 Manly 14.

Apart from Paps, Melbourne's back 3 looks spud-like without JAC. They're fielding the worst couple of wingers for a long-time IMO. Will be interesting to see how well they do to bring the ball out on those first tackles of the set. Olam may take it upon himself to do more, and he's got a brain fart in him. Being light on personnel (in number rather than actual players as Tui and Nelson are both mountains) by having both Hynes and Grant on the bench could bite them. I reckon Munster missing out and starting Hynes, and having Eisenhuth or Pene on the bench actually improves the balance of the 17.

Are they playing at a ground where the Storm had won 143,978 games in a row?
Personally I get real disquieted when Manly have some improbable stat running with them like beaten Cronulla at Brookvale 26 times in a row or some shit and they're playing Cronulla, it just feels like that that improbable stat is just begging to be ended, so if Melbourne haven't lost at this ground for 86 games or whatever it makes me more more confident not less....makes little sense I know.

I reckon storm - there's a lot of human in that forward pack. Theyve definitely been saving them for the big games. Just giants.
