Game of the round surely. Battle of the chess champions.

The Raiders are much more consistent with their big-brainery but Parra have quite a lot of our own brainlets.

Can we match the Raiders wackiness? I'm not sure.

Raiders by one communal brain

Corey Horsburgh still not even getting a spot in the reserves.

Looks like CNK is now out for up to two months after a high tackle which apparently wasn't even worthy of placing on report...

Brown out due to a crusher and Moses looked lame towards the end of last match. Bryce Cartwright 5/8?

I hope they do it!

Stick has improved the club in so many ways but he is a stubborn old f**kwit at times.

I assume you mean because...

  • We have lost games through being disjointed 2x this season by losing backs early on but Ricky refuses to carry one on the bench, as if HIA's aren't a thing... even when the back in prospect, Kris has been our best performing back 5 player...
  • Because he keeps picking Sia- great bloke but stopped being a menace to other teams 2 years ago. When he have Horsburgh and CHN not getting a game, ready to rip it up. One a rep level player, one a rep prospect...
  • Because he thinks we need both a hooker (Starling) and a hooker utility (Havilii) on the bench - when choosing a back would clearly be a better idea (Kris can play 2nd row too). So now we have Starling on the bench (great, he's a good bench hooker) but wtf is Havilii doing there when Starling is the bench hooker, making Haviliis hooking utility useless and we have (decent as he is) better middles at middling than Havilii ready to play- see Horsburgh, CHN (also edge so even better bench option) & James...
Ricky has a lot of excellent points as a coach, His use of the bench is not one of them. Probably Raiders by 20 just to shove it in our faces.

Fergo and Rapana are the Kasparov and Fischer of our time. Truly we are blessed to witness such a match up.

Hodgson is going to have a field day stealing the ball off Cartwright with his loose, offload - ready carries... Hodgson to get more 1 on 1 steals that points Parra score in total.

Raiders 36 (Hodgson 7 one on strips)
Eels 6

I was considering it but then I remembered I have no arctic wear and Bruce Stadium is always 38 degrees colder than the surrounds
Baz I’ll bring my spare north face and pick you up on one of the orange scooters

I thought Hodgo looked really good at times against Penrith. The problem with all our spine players is that they all make silly errors to mix in with the good they do. Its really Simple Jack, Simple George and Simple Josh

I think Hodgo has been a great player for us and still produces good stuff mixed in with his bone head plays but i am worried about those old knees. He needs to be able to still engage the marker out of dummy half by accelerating. Now he started doing this against Penrith and we looked a million times better but he immediately got injured.

I thought Hodgo was good against the Panthers, i've been critical of him since last year before he did his knee, mainly his terrible service. Williams was poor in that second half though, got called for obstruction twice, threw a forward pass and a intercept pass to Chin so hopefully he bounces back strong.

TBH i let his game stew over me during the week and I am less angry about Williams game now. He was trying way too much but i can see where he is coming from. Hopefully he is a bit more restrained against the eels

Our 6,7 and 9 have some idiotic plays in them though
