Heard on Rabbitohs Radio Ta’affe has a setback in his recovery with some more pain he’s not gonna be ready for another 3 weeks and he’s on a development contract so isn’t eligible to play yet anyway.

He's eligible to play in 2 weeks but due to the injury to Reynolds would probably be allowed to play. Obviously didn't realise his injury was still holding him back.

I forgot to mention Jim, the Bronx are reportedly offering AR the club captaincy.

The club captaincy.

A chance to become an instant legend and make his mark in Brisbane, before a boot is even laced in anger.

Down on their knees before him!

Amazing.

Other clubs know what a truly valuable player he is and will do whatever it takes to land him. Unfortunately our club appear to be totally oblivious to this fact.

You really trust the Broncos as a good judge of player value? The same team that let David Fifita go to the titans.

Sending Reyno to the Broncos is like sending a lamb to the slaughter. They will expect him to elevate him to a top 8 team and when he doesn't they will discard him.

They might have got the Fifita decision wrong (although he is starting to show that he's a downhill skier),but they clearly recognise the enormous value Reyno brings to a team. So with regards to Reyno then I believe the Broncos are much better judges of player value than us.

That’s right @Jim Rockford buddy it’s not a half effort, the ceo is coming down as well.

Two of the three most powerful people in their club, plus support, it’s looking more like a $20k excursion, all things considered. Club captaincy, it’s a massive show,

We were having a half joke about it and then it turns out to be true.

Its like you expect a Chrysler Neon and a New Lexus turns up.

Frightening.

Yeah, captaincy is already in play.

Sharks at $800k for 3 years. I’d say at least $900k

I would have already tried to speak to anyone I could who knows him and is friendly and try to work out what he likes.

That would be ex team-mates, staff, trainers etc.

Get a researcher to learn about his life outside footy and make those things are addressed or hinted at during the conversation. Tick every box. Yes, yes, yes.

Make reference to Rabbitoh old boys up there and don’t forget, if he gets on with Benny, that Wayne Bennett is going home and he can hang out with him socially. That would be a great experience

You try to find out the sources of information he trusts and refer to those.

And for a young family, 3 years in a fresh environment would offer a lot by way of learning and sharing new experiences. Sydney is an hour away anyway.

Big crowds every week, great leisure options.

No offence to Fitzy but I’d easily take it over the Sharks offer.

The Sharks are having a massive cull, obviously looking at the Panthers, the way the game is heading and now realise the grind and grit of their Flanno grand final is not going to cut it in the new era.

Its an interesting challenge for them.

Unfortunately, Adam going to bottom 8 teams who are doing well at losing won’t magically make them winning sides. I guarantee he will hate life sitting at the bottom half. At least at south’s he has probably the strongest team apart from probably Penrith around him. If he chooses money and losing over staying at south’s then that’s his choice.

Choosing money is a bit of a simplistic way of looking at it. He's choosing the ability to secure his and his families future as much as possible in what will be his last contract. No one can begrudge him that.

Why? Noone pays me or anyone i know 500 to 1m a year, and expects it ,like its a right, ok you work hard you get injurys, you provide entertainment, and deserve money, in the time you are playing you make enough to buy property and set yourself up for later, we work to pay of 1 house and many not even that, like movie stars talent and luck have alot to do with it, but the majority of the population only dreams of that type of money and the fact your cashed up and debt free. When its over get a job like the rest pf us, yes all would like more, all would like to be free of debt and if they have managed it right they are ahead of the game of life. But i think there is more to life than work and endless money. AR has for at least the last 5 years been on top money, now the time has come to give back to his club, he is bailing out, well good luck to him, thanks for the memorys, sad to see you go.

Yeah but being a lifelong Rabbitoh and playing for a soulless club like Broncos/Sharks, I can see him just counting the money for his career to end.

This isn't Cooper Cronk going from one great team to another.
