That’s right.

I remember our Bj Ironing out Edwards last year in a forgettable brain snap and Edwards got up ASAP. then he refused to testify against BJ in the panel and came out in the media to help him. Did everything humanly possible to assist.

I thought Edwards was courageous and I think very highly of him.

I can’t remember Renno giving evidence against a fellow player either when I think about it. He’s been ironed out his whole career!

Not a skerrick of grub in Renno either. Clean player.

He needs a fair deal and to slip into your honours book yes.

Mate, once again you've hit the nail on the head. I'm so happy Reyno is getting the respect he's due from someone outside of Souths.

Reynolds is a souths boy through and through. I remember the last time he was resigned everyone was stressing he was going to leave for Cronulla. Theres no way he leaves this time when he has the captaincy and we're building something really great.

The last time he resigned we were in the middle of a premiership hangover as well.

Sutto was another player condemned by the machine over his era -not to play anything like the rep games he should have.

Souths players were disliked and disregarded over an extended period because the game wasn’t thinking straight and didn’t see the changes unfolding before its eyes.

For all his controversy, Richo persisted and put you back on the map. One of the great Rabbitohs I think.

He should be in the menu log squad along with Reggie the rabbit.

NRL CEO Andrew Abdo vows to come down harder on repeat offenders: https://www.foxsports.com.au/nrl/nr...s/news-story/91d73bc2202f92d34bbe944044831d10

Stumbling block in Latrell deal - Transfer Whispers: https://www.foxsports.com.au/nrl/nr...t/news-story/a65f0c8fd597c59f8de1ee10d4d290e6

Honestly, if the only sticking point with Latrell is the length of his deal, then we simply must do what he desires!

Ill tell you what, for me, Ben Te'o is a major reason we got to the GF in 2014. I was at that preliminary final, the Roosters scored two tries in the fist ten mins, they looked like they were gonna run riot. Madge makes a change and brings on Te'o. One of his first D plays, he goes after Maloney, crunches him, and then while Maloney is on the ground, picks him up by the back of the jersey and throws him back to the ground. The ref blows a penalty, and Warea-Hargreaves runs in looking for a stink, and gets into a verbal with Te'o, with Benny laughing at JWH. The next time JWH takes up the ball - crunch! Cordener next up - crunch. Benny crunched those two so many times, by the end of the game neither wanted to take the ball up, and were staggering around punch drunk. Te'o completely turned the game, and was probably his best game in the NRL.

Another interesting story about this game, I heard Sam B on the Matty John's podcast show on Fox tell the story that when Te'o gave away that penalty against Maloney, Sam went to speak to him, "what are you doing, you can't be giving away penalties like that." Ben responds, "I'm doing this FOR YOU!" Sam said he was taken aback, like, wow, he's doing this for me? Sam said that line really inspired him to go out there and give it to the Rorters. And in fact, in the GF, when he got his face broken, the other guys were telling him to go off the field, and he responded by using Te'o's line, "I'm doing this for ALL OF YOU!" Great Story!

The rest is history.....

Know an ex nrl player, went overseas and his contract was massive compared to the offer here. I’m talking almost 300%

But a big part of it was the experience of living overseas. Took his wife and kids over.

Not many careers can offer you that opportunity, a readily transferable international skill.

No part in the game at all now. Just the same as us. Lovely fella.

He loved every moment of his career, but like so many ex players has some medical issues.

Ben Te’o could attack as well if memory serves. He’d bust through lines of the most fearsome forwards.

The point is right about missing watching him play. He was a “whole of game” player everyone I knew admired his game and I’m not sure he was a rascal or anything.

There’s a few players in each squad for whom the game admires. Some clubs have more than others depending on the cap cycle and strength of officials etc.

I was just going to let @callmack1 know, I’m jumping in the car tonight and there’s ad for New Zealand coming on the radio.

Trying to get Australians with skills to immigrate and study over there.

It was a clever ad because they are (in part) using Australian ex-pats to say how much they are enjoying living and working over there.

Its been ages since I visited NZ. Very cool country.

As you know, I think you should take up our statehood offer we made to you in about 1900. You never will, but it would be ok for us!

Think of the state of origin games we could have!
