He is a donkey me thinksThis is Mark geyer giving his opinion.
It has no basis in fact.

You had already changed it when I replied. You can deny it all you like but we both know you did it.
Since you know so much, how much is AJ getting Mr.Smart Guy?
Hint: slightly more than Burns, Milne, almost half of Knight's money.
Gee, $350K has bankrupted the club and blew the salary cap out of the water.
Weshould have put Jaxson Paulo on the wing instead of AJ! Why didn't the club think of that???
You second statement is moronic. Don't make complaints, because your complaints might make me do something, and if it doesn't work out, I'm not taking the blame because your complaints made me do it. LAUGHABLE.
If you have Faith in the club, does that include signing AJ? Offering Reynolds another year? Signing Milne? Giving Knight more than 500K per year? Allowing Suaali to walk and sign a contract with another club that was prepared to meet his terms when we weren't?
I'll be fascinated to hear your explanation of how signing AJ has lead to Suaali walking, and how that has "alerted every other f**ker as to who Souths have coming through."
Certainly it couldn't be that the Jersey Flegg side were recent premiers, nah it couldn't be that......

So if, as Weidler said today, the Cowboys were willing to offer AJ $1mil for 3 years, and, as this article says, AJ sacrificed up to 100K to stay with Souths, then its obvious the ball park figure for AJ is around 250K.
As I posted earlier with referenced links, Adam is listed as getting 760K this season.
Tell us again, how did signing AJ affect our ability to keep Reyno?
Fair enough. I just happened to see it when it was up and thought you were trying to pull a swifty. I apologise for accusing you of doing it on purpose. So a post was up for all but 10 seconds when I realised I got a quote, copy and paste wrong, and then corrected it with your actual quote.
You didn't even quote the post your referring to and there isn't even an edit recorded on my post - that's how brief it was up. CallMack can probably verify it through his logs.
Even Botany posted a duplicate of a post above. That's how easy it is to do.
Look I get this, this is a better post than your previous one, which seemed to convolute different arguments into one. We're just going around in circles here.
Plenty of supporters have faith in the club making the correct decisions - after all, they've managed to build a list which has been competing for a premiership for near-on a decade and right now has the best chance to win a title since 2014. In that roster is a mix of talent brought to the club to fill a need, and local juniors which the club has developed along the way. In that line of local players are several more the club rates very highly and is looking at being the bedrock throughout the 2020s, just like Reynolds was throughout the 2010s.
And then there's a bunch of supporters second guessing everything the admin is doing, pestering with emails and petitions, demanding it detour from the plan the club has set, and creating drama that the club doesn't need. Once they detour from the plan, the domino effect on other players and positions will be great.
The salary cap is tough to get right and constantly needs to be managed each year with a 3-5 year vision, not just for now. Ask Phil Gould who put in a 5-yr plan at Penrith to sort out their roster and are flying now. Compare that with NQ who lost Thurston and Scott, and signed JT, Morgan, Felt to long-term contracts, or Canterbury who are just a mess. I know which admin I'd want running the club.
Yeah, its a bit hard to know exactly because:If AJ sacrificed upto $100k from a rumoured $1M over three seasons, that puts him on at least $300k a season. Approx $150k-$200k above minimum.
New contender enters race for Reynolds, Benji’s bold new deal - NRL Transfer Whispers: https://www.foxsports.com.au/nrl/nr...l/news-story/98982caa392400ae5cfe8c5b320a6ee8
What the hell is MG smoking?!! That has to be one of the dumbest things I've ever heard!! Swapping Reyno for Brooks would completely contridict our reasons for not signing Ryno for more than one year and it would defeat the purpose of bringing our star young halves too. Not to mention Brooks is bog average AND is on more cash than Reyno currently. Come on MG....
North Queensland Cowboys should 'go all in' on Adam Reynolds: https://wwos.nine.com.au/nrl/nrl-20...abbitohs/9916156f-bd50-44a5-9bb1-e933b8879084
South Sydney poised to offer Benji Marshall contract extension should Adam Reynolds walk: https://wwos.nine.com.au/nrl/south-...lds-exit/c6de991d-174b-4f0d-8140-90f2e96b18bb
In regards to this new report about Benji, I'm all for it!! If his mind and body is up to it and reyno does go, then by all means, re-sign him for another year. That would give us a year to play whoever we see as the long term halfback off the bench for a year or even rotate between Taaffe, Hawkins and Ilias. It would just make the transition so much easier and allow more time. What's more, Benji's experience would be invaluable in bringing them through. I would also feel pretty confident with a halve pairing of Benji and Cody.
I get what your saying about the Benji thing, obviously if Reynolds does go the front office must have a contingency plan in place, I get that.New contender enters race for Reynolds, Benji’s bold new deal - NRL Transfer Whispers: https://www.foxsports.com.au/nrl/nr...l/news-story/98982caa392400ae5cfe8c5b320a6ee8

Now that I've had time to digest this, the question I'm throwing out there is why did this go to the media and who let this story out to the media?
Why does it have to be in the media, "oh if Adam leaves, we'll get Benji" ? To me, it's a pretty spiteful act, it's like "Adam, you won't sign with us, fine, F### you we'll get Benji and we'll tell the media so they can print the message."
This isn't a story the journalists just make up, it's obvious it's come from Pappas' office.
For those on the boards here criticising Adam going public about his grievance for not getting what he wants contractually, they need to have a good hard look at the way the office has conducted THEMSELVES in all of this - firstly leaking to the media that Adam is "injured" and "can't do full contact training", thereby f###ing up his chances of signing with another prospective club, and then secondly, sticking their fingers up at Adam, basically saying, f### you, we've got someone else if you don't wanna sign the one year deal we've given you.
Whether you want Adam to stay, or are happy for him to go, these two acts by the front office are pretty low, and its hypocritical of people on these boards here to have a shot at Adam going public about his contract grievance, but saying nothing about the front office and the nastiness and their leaking this to the media so they can protect their images.
After all, we are talking about a born & bred junior whose busted himself being the greatest halfback the club has ever had, part of the first premiership winning Souths team in 43 years, as well as quite possibly ending up as Souths greatest pointscorer.
I get what you're saying 100% and I agree with it to a certain extent, there may be a bit of that involved.I get what your saying about the Benji thing, obviously if Reynolds does go the front office must have a contingency plan in place, I get that.

It just seems to me you just want to have a whinge about anything Souths do.I get what your saying about the Benji thing, obviously if Reynolds does go the front office must have a contingency plan in place, I get that.

I had heard he was resigning 2 to 3 years, could be this new qld team is destabilising the player market
Angus Crichton resigns on a 1 year deal at the roosters. Hmmmmmmmmmmmmm.

Blokes like this are going to find it very difficult to get long term contracts due to their history of concussion.https://www.google.com/amp/s/amp.sm...p-s-concussion-nightmare-20210406-p57gxs.html
Knights having concussion issues suffering painful migraines. Is a week to week prospect right now.
