We don’t need more forwards really except one for depth.

I think we may be 1 good/great winger short in our squad. In big games in 2021 if we have AJ and Allan/Paulo on the wings I have doubts whether or not they can make really big metres like a Nofoaluma or Tupou for example.

I like Gagai on the wing but we don’t have a quality centre I don’t think to allow him to play wing. Burns is very injury prone and young Marsters needs big work on his defence,.

I am sure we must have 1 or 2 young forwards coming through as well, I think Gardner is one and we have Tallis Duncan off the scum.
Duncun is 2 years away

Exactly.
We have forwards, and if desperate because of injuries we can always pick up one mid season.

The back 3 now are getting to be just as important as the spine, especially digging the ball out of your own 20, and for us - diffusing bombs.

Here's the latest on Addo-Carr via Zero Tackle, jeez I hope it's true!

Rabbitohs back in the race for Storm star Addo-Carr

The South Sydney Rabbitohs are still in the hunt to sign Melbourne flyer Josh Addo-Carr for the 2022 season, per to The Daily Telegraph’s Phil Rothfield.

According to Rothfield’s sources, the Blues winger wants to play for the Rabbitohs along with close mates Cody Walker, Dane Gagai and Latrell Mitchell.

Addo-Carr was seen touring Belmore last week, with reports suggesting his trip to Canterbury was staged in an effort to warn Souths of serious interest away from Redfern.

The 25-year-old is understood to be happy to accept less money with the Rabbitohs, who will have 12 months to adjust their salary to accomodate Addo-Carr’s wages.

The Storm star will see out the 2021 season in Melbourne before likely moving home to Sydney, with Wests also joining Canterbury and South Sydney in pursuit for the speedster.
Of course JAC wants to come to Souths, its bloody obvious.

He stayed in Melbourne an extra year so he could get out of that toilet paper agreement he made with the Tigers.

Melbourne had a swap deal for Reimis Smith with the Bulldogs on the table. What happened? The Bulldogs ended up releasing him, and he signed a free agent deal with Melbourne. Why? Because JAC nixed the swap.

Look at the camaraderie between JAC and the Souths guys in the SOO.

The ONLY thing that is roadblocking the FOX wearing the Red&Green next season is Bennett. He either needs to get on board or get out of the way.

ANOTHER BURGESS ON BRINK OF RETIREMENT

Tom Burgess could be the last member of league’s famous English brothers left standing in 2021.

Tom had a great season with Souths this year but twin brother George is struggling with a hip injury and was barely sighted for English club Wigan.

The 28-year-old - one of the heroes of South Sydney’s 2014 premiership win - played just seven games and battled to get through them.

George still has two years left on his contract at Wigan on good money, but a medical retirement may be on the cards.

MITCHELL SET FOR RABBITOHS UPGRADE

Standby for an announcement at Souths about the future of brilliant utility back Latrell Mitchell.

Mitchell signed a one-year deal worth around $600,000 for this year after making his name at the Roosters but Souths have an option on him for 2021.

Despite an injury-plagued year which saw him manage just 13 games, Souths were happy with his form and transition from centre to fullback.

The Rabbitohs are in talks with the try-scoring ace and a new three-year deal isn’t far off.

Dont be surprised if we end up with lodge, if he is on 600k we could pick him up for 400k 200k chipped in by broncos.
I would take him
I wouldn't.
I would MUCH rather have given Bayley Sironen that money. He can play near 80 mins, has mobility and ball playing skills and vgood cover defender. Lodge can barely play 50mins, has none of the above, and is always breaking down with injury.

I don't want anything stuffing up our cap position and a chance to sign JAC

I wouldn't, he's big and useless, runs the ball at half pace for two steps then passes, biggest five eight I've ever seen.

Rabbitohs Release Joseph Suaalii from Remainder of Playing Contract: https://www.rabbitohs.com.au/news/2...h-suaalii-from-remainder-of-playing-contract/

So officially, that's that. While I'm not that sad to see him go considering the way he messed the club around, it is a shame the way it worked out as we've lost a potential superstar. But, like I say, he thought he was bigger than the club so yea, don't let the door hit you on the way out Joseph.

At least now the saga is over and we can move on.

That's pretty sad about George. That hip has plagued his career since 2015 and it'd be a sad way for him to go out.

Great news about Latrell!! Although, we've been seeing articles like this for a while now. Let's hope things are progressing.
