If the ref is going to overturn the on field call and decide it's a strip he needs to clearly identify who stripped it- Kikau falls off the tackle and Manu still has the ball & completes his spin - so it can't be Kikau who stripped it- then the ball starts coming loose before the next Fijian (unsure name) arrived -from behind mind you, good luck deliberately stripping it from there anyway- before he gets there it comes loose. So whose arm exactly was he saying actually did the strip?

Clearly an incorrect over rule for mine. Mind you Fiji had their chance 2 sets early and muffed the 5th tackle play so I can't say it surely decided the result- Fiji had ther fair cracks too. Otherwise an absolute cracking game and one of Fiji's best ever international performances. They can leave head held high.

If IRL can get a few matches for these Pacifika teams before the next WC to keep the cohesion going- or I believe Fiji has a team coming into NSW or QLD cup?- the next WC cycle could be a watershed for some of those teams like PNG/Fiji and the rest.
f**king hell mate, watch it with your f**king glasses on 🙄

1. The better team won.
2. Fiji are a 45 minute team.
3. Atkins tried to referee us out of the game in the first half. We were always offside, and Fiji somehow weren't.
4. Why do we always have to play at night? All of our games have been at night in damp, dewey conditions, while Aus and England have played all of their games in broad daylight on dry decks. That's why we look a lot chunkier in attack compared to them. Let's see how we go in the day. There's no bigger difference in conditions between day and night than in England.
Obviously never been to Northern England in Oct/Nov (and can’t blame you) but
a) at 730 (when all the Aussie games have been played) it’s pitch black; and
b) there is no such thing as a dry deck….

The draw was deliberately rigged so that Australia couldn't face New Zealand in the final.

After years of disappointment, looks like the RLWC tournament organisers wanted to give England the best opportunity of making the final by scheduling the draw in such a way so they'd avoid facing NZ in the semis. They didn't want to go down the same road as the 1995, 2000 and 2013 RLWC, where England and Australia were drawn in the same group, and the loser of the match between them during the group phase of the tournament went on to face NZ in the semis.
The way England have played if they were in the same side of the draw as Australia then the Roos would be going out. Maybe it’s rigged to help the Aussies into the final

Being able to play a team from your group in the semi is stupid and doesn't happen in any other world cup and quite clearly has been done to get England to the final.

Phenomenal game this morning. Great stuff from Tonga and Samoa. Shame there had to be a loser really, but the lack of experienced smart halves cost Tonga in the end. Milford, of all people, was the difference

Watching Samoa v Tonga @ the 2017 RLWC in I think Hamilton.. Should hear the crowd. The fact these games aren’t being played while Origin is on is putrid and lays waste to the ARLC claim it supports International Rugby League. They are sh!t scared it’s a better spectacle than SOO
Agree they should be playing every year but if you take the Panthers out of Samoa who'll be playing Origin then it might not be a contest

Pommy judiciary will rub Paulo out for putting up his bumper bars. Suaalii too most likely but he can be replaced.
