Yes! Even if NZ go out this weekend as we're playing crap, the RLWC is a success with that Tongan team and it's overrated pack* and their traitorous captain Taumalolo getting beaten by Samoa and out of the comp.

Also, was an enjoyable game to watch.

* Yes, I do get the irony that the Kiwis pack isn't firing and could be considered overrated currently too.

Suspicious, but I can't recall if the knock out format was decided before or after the pools were drawn.

If England really wanted to rig it, I doubt they would have put the strongest non seeded team into their own pool.

They would have had to have roped Prince Harry into the rort too as he drew the balls.

Very traitorous but I’ve forgiven him leaving Tonga to Kiwis first lol

Haha, interesting that back then Tonga had to pick guys from 2nd tier comps. So he's a double traitor to his homeland. 😉

I see he also played for Aussie Schoolboys, whatever the Tongan term for mana is, his is slipping away before my eyes.

England v PNG: England just continued from where they started their campaign and just steamrolled their opposition. PNG couldn't handle any of England raids and it got away from them very quickly. Was a shame seeing Olam compounding their horrible day and such a meek ending for the Kumuls.
England have been the form team of the comp and IMO should be World Cup favourites. The way their middles bash and barge with some subtle work from Radley and Bateman is a joy to watch. Their backs have such a luxury off the back of that with all the time and space.

Samoa v Tonga: I think Tonga will be kicking themselves after they got themselves back into the game but their spine has been horrible right from the start except for the 1or2 good games from Lolohea. They rely too much on the power game and when that doesn't work they got scrappy.
Samoa somehow negated Tonga's power game and it was strange seeing Milford making all his tackles and playing pretty well. Luai was great too good on the Samoans for making the semi. That hit on Koloamatangi from May was unforgettable. Lots over here with flags on their cars driving around which is great to see.

See we’ve never seen it as he was a traitor whenever in this case and a lot of others a Tongan makes the kiwis, all blacks, wallabies, kangaroos etc we all feel like we’ve made it, a son of Little old Tonga is up there.

He’s a proud kiwi Tongan that had the honour of representing both nations and a top high school rugby league talent that was chosen to represent Australian schoolboys. He wore all those jerseys with mana 😉.

To be clear, I have no problem with Taumalolo representing Tonga, but the way he went about it on the eve of a tournament after agreeing to play for NZ was pretty shit. Not much mana there.

I gotcha, I felt it was a bad move, even worse excuse to why he didn’t let them know 🤦🏽‍♂️.
Well since then he’s started something on the international scene, here’s still holding on to hope we get more tests, tours, something! The ingredients are all there now time to get cooking!

Seeing the same thing as the bunker is not usually a claim people want to make.

Btw you seem really angry someone else saw it differently to you. :)
Look , I hate bad calls because it makes the game look bad. When people go out of their way to make the game look bad when the call was correct, sure it makes me angry.

50/50 call. Probably should have gone with the ref's original decision. By no means a howler if it went the other way, which was the reason for the refs call.
Agree with this. I was supporting Fiji as they were the underdogs and the greater Penrith connection. I didn’t think it was a strip but can see where the call came from.

Most importantly, I think the better team won.
