Since we're talking about Crichton anyone know how fast he is? Watching through last year's games he never really opens up instead he sort of just gently glides.

Knowles alluded to Staines being able to cover the 40 metre standing start in 4.59 seconds. I don’t think Crichton would be anywhere near that. Certainly I think Amos Roberts and Rhys Wesser would have been as quick as Staines over 40. I seem to recall Allan McIndoe competing in a professional sprint race when he was at his peak but his high end speed was probably in that 30 metre to 70 metre zone once he had reached his peak speed, not lightening off the mark.

I think Staines would be quite easily the quickest player at our club, no one else really screams huge amounts of speed. A lot more players that would use their power to build up speed as opposed to Charlie who just looks to be a bullet lol

Yeah Wesser was electric.

It was just a random thought while totally not recording our 2020 season.

4.59 seconds over 40 metres is very quick given the fast recorded time over 40 yards was an American sprinter who recorded a tick under 4 seconds. Usain Bolt ran 40 yards in 4.2 seconds so add a couple of yards you are probably looking at 4.3 for it in metres. Usain was a big unit so it took him time to get into his stride, but he could maintain his high end speed over 200 metres given his world record mark of 19.19 seconds which really is phenomenal.

Knowles or one of the trainers said that he wins everything to do with speed pretty easily in an article the other day.

I noticed last year he seemed reluctant to take on a defender down the sideline, he would cut back in with a lot of space left. I'd like to see him take an intercept and pin his ears back to get a real idea of how quick he is. He seems like one of those guys who is just quick enough most of the time.

Personally loved this moment last year. Couldn't stop laughing. With matching hair Api legitimately looked like he could be Kikaus kid. Or atleast his baby brother.

Kiks is huge. But Api barely made it on the screen

Its crazy that Api is such a good defender given how small he is. We genuinely missed him in the middle defensively last year when he wasn't there.

Yeah that's the impression I get as well. Manly game he almost went for it but got ankle tapped as he started the run.

That is part of his growth. That and his kicking game being used will come out

I think pound for pound Api might be the best defender in the whole competition, the way he can completely chop down a bigger man and halt momentum is quite incredible seeing that he would be probably even on the small side when it comes to hookers in the NRL.

Flegg losing at HT 22-4 after scoring first. Ball security a major issue barely completed a set. Gifted the Bulldogs the ball and field position and it is reflected on the scoreboard.
