Fairly surprised by the amount of people having souths finish top 2. People seem to forget they were bog average for 90% of the season. Before they beat the Roosters they barely scraped home over a tigers team who won 1 of their last 8 and then got completely sodimized by the side that finished 15th.

They went on to beat a Roosters side who were doing anything to not have to fly to Brisbane the next week, then accounted for probably the worst 7th placed team in NRL era. Next up they needed a standard Moses choke to get past the Eels.

Bennetts already been told he this is his last year. He’s off to coach QLD in the middle of the year and will spent all his time trying to land a job for 2022.

Theyve gone and spent big on a guy who was a bench player for a team who missed the 8 in retrospectively the most unneeded signing of the decade. The 6/7/9 are 31,31 and 30, none of them are getting better.

Sure they’re too good to miss the 8, but will likely be another 6th or so finish for mine.

Injuries weren't kind to them. I think they finish top 4 with Panthers, Roosters, Storm

LOL! Surely it's upgrade on "GO POTATO".
Wait.....what?:hushed:

Griffin is a significant upgrade on McBaldy. I predict he will put some steel back in the Dragons defence and your team won't be a pushover this year. Teams will need to fight in order to beat the Dragons. Not sure if the Dragons will make the 8 this year, but there will be a noticeable improvement.

In the case of Penrith there is no way they will get on a role like this year and I don't believe they have the squad and more importantly the coach to be the hunted rather than the hunter.
Amazing what one loss does.

The consensus seems to be Titans to replace Sharks and that's it. I have no crystal ball, but I'm fearlessly predicting there will be a lot more changes to the 8 than that.

I had that opinion about Penrith in regards to 2021 before the 2020 finals even started.

You are probably right in regards to changes on the 8 it is just difficult to predict some of those bottom 8 teams to rise at this stage.

There will be another team or two to nosedive, however there are no clear candidates to be the team that tanks. Conversely no team outside the top 9 last season is really making moves to push well up the ladder. I feel like the 2020 ladder was a pretty honest account of where most teams are.
