They may claim more than 10k, but I'd be highly surprised if they actually get that many.

Absolutely mental ! so that means 52000 tickets sold on that day alone and it said that all 3 day passes are gone as well. So with 30 000 interstate tickets sold you`d have to think most of those are three day passes, they`re not going to travel to only go one day, so they must be up over the 110k mark already.
Broncos put up a good showing tonight and I expect Friday will be gone as well.

Mate how could you have ever doubted it, this with Indigenous round, SOO and Test matches can be pretty well taken anywhere around Australia and Oz and provide unrivalled promotion/exposure and income for the game. They are all winners.

Not much can be said for this... there was hype about Reynolds, this is our only home game for three weeks either side...just a terrible Thursday turnout.

easy to be wise in hindsight , my reasoning was the copying of the ESL magic round here wouldn't work because over there all the clubs are within a few hundred K's of Manchester , so easy to get there. With the exception of the GC no one is close to Brisbane & i questioned the motivation of fans here to attend. But they are flocking to this event from everywhere .. Sydney Newcastle .. Canberra, Melb.. , its amazing. Well done to the NRL & its fans.

Fair enough mate, but hasn`t it become something. I just love the idea that our sad main competitor can`t do anything like it because their games go for so bloody long, I had to laugh at the beginning of the year when they were trying to promote something similar but it had to be spread out over several days. onion had similar problems because their games drag on forever as well.
We`ve got ourselves some great promotional opportunities now in Indigenous Round and Magic Weekend that neither of our competitors can emulate; make money and can be taken just about anywhere. You can throw Origin in there as well.
