Do they have the audio recorded though or did someone just happen to listen to it? It would be weird if they recorded the whole game. And ... what else was said?

We will never know. Excuse me for not taking the club's explanation at face value, like the "Taylan was only defending Cleary in the nightclub" line.

Whatever floats your boat mate.

Audio recording is real. South Sydney are happy to let it go. Case closed. Then again the FBI could be involved.

big hit!

Penrith are a clever football side. They pioneered the short drop out circa 2019 which is now the new meta.

They didn't invent up-tempo football but they are the best at it in the league. They possess a gear that no other club has.

Why hoof the ball and make your players sprint 30m up field only to end up back at the 10m on tackle 3 or 4 anyway. Preserve that energy and have belief in the cage D to repel the attack. If you get the ball back from a short drop out, then that's a bonus!

That's definately part of it.

Back in 2019/2020 we were doing it well before the shot clock ran down. It caught many teams off guard. Even if we didn't regain possession the opposition had to scramble to get in formation. The defence basically did nothing except walk forward 10 metres.

Buddy have you been watching the same sport as me? These short dropouts that have come into vogue late this season have had poor results overall.

Taylan May not even named. Ironically not being suspended this immediately for last years incident has made him miss an even more important game. If his 2 game suspension was issued immediately, he's ready to play this weekend.

Though I think we're better off without him anyway. To'o looked much better on the left and our right edge defence looked a bit better with Staines and Crichton again. Attack wasn't quiet there, but defense is more important to us. Although Staines marking up on Sivo is a bit of a mismatch.
