Penrith would need to have an absolute Barry to lose this game …. Think Parra win and set up a replay of the first final

Penrith fans, get your hordes of illegitimate children, talk to your parole officer (or cut off your electronic bracelet) and get to the stadium on Saturday night. Otherwise souffs fans who usually draw about 700 people and 856 teef will bandwagon to the ground and bore everyone to death about the 'pride of the league' and the 'cardinal and myrtle'.

For neutrals it's a choice of feral.

Penrith by 12 in a dumhinger.
Unfortunately the 2022 Mount Druitt St Vinnies Dumpster Diving Championships is held on the same night so we can expect a few thousand Penrith fans to be at that.

They really need to look at moving that to mid October. Between that and the biannual who’s your daddy guessing comp it’s great for the local economy. Clashing either with finals is short sighted.

Souths have miraculously made a prelim. At no stage have they looked like a premiership threat this year and here we are.

Still not a better team than 2021 or 2020. Penrith will end their season for the third time running.
Miraculously? Week 1 we beat easts. Both us and them were top 4 quality at our best and only finished at our positions because of injuries. Week 2 we beat an actual top 4 team. And we got closer to beating Penrith than most a few weeks ago. We were always better than a 7th placed team.

You lost to the halves pairing Sean O'Sullivan and Jaemon Salmon

I've had a red line through South Sydney since the pre-season. Inferior squad to previous years. If they can't win a competition with Reynolds 2018-2021 then they aren't going to win one now.

I'm very surprised they have made it this far so you'd still call it a successful year.

This should be a cracking game. Souths have been humming along nicely, Latrell is the form player of the comp and is capable of beating most teams on his own. Penrith ended Souths season the last 2 years however he was missing for both those games.

Penrith are just so professional and for the 3rd year in a row remarkably have a full bill of health going into the finals. They didn’t miss a beat last week despite many of their stars missing plenty of games beforehand. Three years seems to be the right number of years for teams to ‘dominate’ in this era and with Api and Kikau leaving this is probably their last year of the juggernaut we’ve seen so I expect them to put everything in.

I’ll be shocked if the Premiers don’t come from this game. It feels similar to 2010 and 2014 where the real GF was played a week earlier. Shame for souths, they don’t have anyone to blame but themselves for stinking it up until Latrell came back.

Burgess is a huge out, I can’t believe Tatola is free to play, if that was in round 15 he’s getting 3 weeks, and they’ll be sweating on AJ/Arrow. No excuse for this not to get 70k. Panthers by 8.
