Score won’t reflect how Newcastle gave Penrith a fright inside the last 10 minutes. They still have quite a lot of positives to take from that.
Would've been a scare if Clifford could have converted one of the last 2 tries.

We'll see this match as a training run towards our match V Souths next Friday being the reserve players should be good after a match in the top grade if the likes of JFH don't return.

Who? I've seen Tigers, Cowboys and Dragons tipped for the spoon, but not Knights.
Newcastle was the most backed in the betting markets for the spoon, somehow.

I think most ‘experts’ had us finishing 9-13th, which was always more realistic. Top 8 is still a big ask for me.

16 of the Knights players can hold their heads up after that. Pretty gutsy effort.

Luckily for us our left edge scored more than they leaked. Ciraldo has his work cut out for him sorting that out. The discipline needs some work too, marching the opposition out of their own end every third set is just stupid.

Great result with so many out. Not such a great performance because we let in some soft tries. Knights only have themselves or more accurately Mitch Barnett to blame for his thuggery. If not for that we may well have gone down today.
I’m happy with 3 from 3 with no Cleary.
