As a supporter, there's three types of seasons your team has:

1. Your team is in the hunt for a premiership. You ride the wave excitedly to whatever end.
2. Your team is crap. You continue to watch your team each week out of loyalty and/or curiosity.
3. You think you're in the hunt for a premiership. But your team actually isn't very good. You think you're in with a shot until one game, where all is laid bare, and you can relax. The rest of the season you just take it, however it comes.

We're option 3 and tonight was that night.

Why would you have even believed option 1 was a legitimate outcome? South’s are nothing more than a 12-8th ceiling/floor side on this roster.

I'm the furthest thing from a Broncos fan but they are a genuine threat for a top 4 finish on this form, especially when you look at their favourable upcoming draw and probable low origin representation. Souffs will struggle to make the 8 considering they will get a few key players picked for origin.

You have some exciting youngsters, just need patience.

Broncos have some players to come back in too.

Cam Murray is not ready to captain. Cody should be to put pressure on him to perform.

I think the Broncos are certainties for the 8. A team on the rise for sure.
