Lebanon v Ireland should be a decent contest tonight. Probably the only actual contest of the entire round of matches really.

So at this stage, Tonga should meet Samoa in the Quarter Finals. Should be a decent match.

As for the other potential match ups in the QFs - Australia v Lebanon, England v PNG, New Zealand v Fiji, I can't see the underdogs getting close to be honest.

Amazing to think that Fiji actually beat NZ in the 2017 quarter final with that famous scoreline of 4-2 in a tryless game.

Won't happen this year.

The Fijians had a much better team in 2017. I believe they are semi-finalists in the last 3 World Cups. No Plane to help this this time around.

ol mate Mal can't decide so he is playing both no 7s, like its not as though he has never seen them play before

oh, and he's confused Fox League by naming them in alphabetical order

I think Mal is just the figurehead, his assistants do most of the coaching.

Hearing him talk makes me just go wtf ?

I thought England might bring up a ton.

Their opponents Greece, were only recogniced legally by their government in August

Before that , they had to move home games overseas to qualify. Some matches at home were at midnight, others at grounds with no lighting. all because they wanted to avoid the cops as they would have been arrested

The Greece players in this WC are donating any money they earn back into Greece RL (now thats it legal)

Will be very competetive next decade imo if determination and desire is any indication

Maybe the getting arrested fear was overplayed as I don't think playing footy was illegal but good on em anyway. Weird but.
