Won the second half with twelve players with even possession. The refereeing in the first half was atrocious with the eels scoring 3 tries on the back of penalties, a 40-20 and one from dummy half. They had 67% possession in the first half, any wonder it was 30-4. Second half with even possession we score one try, had two disallowed and had a couple of close calls whist being one man down and only 2 on the bench against Parra only having one real chance in the second last minute.
I reckon we can take as much out of the game as they can.
The second half defensive effort one one of the best of the season.

Are you a brain dead supporter? Have you clearly thought through the ramifications of this game?

I don't care too much that we lost. I care that going into the finals that our 1/2 pairing will have a few games between them leading in.

We should be going into the finals with a wet sail but instead at the worst possible time we will be limping in.

I would trade 4-5 of our wins away for having our team firing in the last 3-4 rounds leading into the finals. It literally cannot happen now.
Have confidence in our systems we have lost 6 games in almost 3 years, Get real!!!

I am. You'd have to be a complete moron to think that Tackle wasn't a sledge hammer to our season which in all honesty we were virtual certainties to win. The season has basically been thrown wide open again.

We can still win it, and are a decent chance to, but I wouldn't bet on it anymore.

If the odds drift I'll be smashing it

Another point Nathan got marched in the 18thy minute AND Rennings notr coming back what more could you expect. THATS why will will win the GF. We are a GREAT TEAM. I was VERY happy with our effort in the second half 2 disallowed tries and 4 line breaks

Yeah 2nd half was a very good and brave effort. I was pleased with it as well. It looks as though we recovered from our shell shock and got organised. In saying that Parra also put the cue back in the rack...so it's hard to really get a true bearing on the value of that 2nd half. It could have been far far worse so nobody can be disappointed with it.

Again though, I don't care about the game itself. I was almost hoping for a loss about now just to shake the team out of complacency and to have them face real adversity for once.

The Context is Cleary being out for an extended period right before the finals....and at the same time as Luai - it is just shocking timing.

Have to be proud of the boys for the 2nd 40.

Pretty embarrasing really by parra to lose the 2nd half.. were lucky we didnt win the 2nd half 18-4.

Two weeks... two weeks is all it took to turn our season upside down. I never bought in to the whole comp is ours to lose crap that some on here were writing.

Always got to take it one week at a time..

I hope nath watched moses kicking game tonight. Brilliant long early kicks. His bombs were landing on the 10m line or slightly further back. Nice short kicks.

For us to be a chance we cant lose anymore to injury and suspension and nath and luai need to come back firing.

The second half they definitely showed some pride but I’m still fuming because we’ve gone from morals to win the minor prem and clear faves to win the prem to quite possibly not winning either...
We should still beat the Warriors probably but all the other games will be struggles with a reserve pair of halves.

Obviously happy to show some fight in the second half, but although some things went against us, I thought we showed a concerning lack of composure when the game was very much in reach. Mahoney falling over between Yeo and Edwards without a finger laid on him was a particular lowlight, but even before the send off we looked panicked and impatient with the ball.

If we'd kept calm, gotten into the grind at 18-4 and gone into the break at that score the second half could have gotten very interesting. Could have been a historic night.
