Cricket Australia opens summer of cricket on NRL grand final day in Sydney

Cricket Australia has opted to open the international home season with a women's T20 match in Sydney on NRL grand final day.

Opening fixture, women's t20 game against the West Indies at North Sydney oval on the same day as NRL Grand Final.

Adelaide test in January and a day game.

Feels a little light but I suppose we whinge they play a lot of pointless cricket so can't have it both ways.

I noticed that as well.

Strange that Brisbane was allocated the day/night test match, given Adelaide has been the default venue for pink ball cricket since 2015 (with the exception of 2018 because of the BCCI)

In saying that though, the Adelaide test is during the school holidays this time around.

Definitely feels light compared to summers from years gone by.

Rained washout days at the cricket are the best days at the cricket.

Get a refund and can sit at the pub all day and drink full strength beer out of a glass without getting wet.
