Interesting. The standard will improve with all the players coming up there to play effectively a "pre-season" now that HNWP is not a preseason for the NRLW

How do you think the State comps no longer being concurrent will play out? Create an imbalance or be mutually complimentary?

And how will the change in timing affect the respective junior rep squads?

It's always hard to judge between separate comps, you can only get a general sense from tempo, quality of passing, tackling technique, etc. However, on what I've seen of highlights from the early rounds, I would say the standard in 19s and particularly 17s is tangibly higher in NSW.

Def the competition in QLD will be of a higher standard. I am not sure that will have much effect on the younger age groups except it might attract more players taking the game up.
The whole thing hinges on how well the new NSW comp goes as a "reserve" grade for the NRLW.
Last year A grade was boosted as the non NRLW players played Agrade in sydney, including some QLD players. But the HNWP comp was a bit mickey mouse, if this works it will be better comp

Very evident so far that NSW's U17-U19 female competitions standards have increased. QLD so far behind with some of the teams struggling for numbers.

The NSW comps are getting lopsided though and its not about coaching but more about talent collection.
I am not sure its a good thing either but some of the investment and commitment associated isn't that bad.

Blues League Tag encourages more girls to try a form of the game. A percentage of the resulting wider talent pool subsequently transition to Tackle RL.

QRL and their clubs don't appear to have anything comparable.
