Looks like Roy drinks the kook aid .
The AFl is thriving bullshit again .

we don’t know yet until their annual report comes out. How many rounds were lost due to covid as a %?
It's hilarious watching you defend the AFL ..oh lets wait till figures come out before judging..yet continually post as gospel any anti or negative figures thrown around about the NRL deal .
You have done so for close to 12 months now .
Especially SMH /ch 9 crap.

That’s the same percentage as the AFL’s, isn’t it?

according to this report afl suffered a $45million reduction. About 9% reduction.

didn’t pick it up at first but nrl seem to be hiding something as they have not identified media revenue as a stand alone in the annual report and have called it “licensing”. This seemingly includes other revenue than just the media deals masking the actual reduced amount. Very dubious given every year Since annual reports came out in 2012 have had the media revenue identified as seperate revenue source!
I’d suggest the tv reduction is significantly higher than ive posted given this dubious accounting decision to hide away the actual media revenue. I base this on the fact it is stating 2019 licensing revenue is $80mill more than the media revenue for 2019 suggesting they have lumped other things in there to make it not look so bad. Actual tv reduction could be anywhere between $79mill and $159mill!

Expected revenue $411mill
Actual revenue $332mill

Reduction in media deal for 2020 (cash) was approx $79mill (19.2%)
st years media deals we only got $324m and we got $332m this year. So on the face no change

2020 budget Licensing 332,233 or media money and other ?
2019 budget 324,595 media money
Just saying can you explain this- maybe we repayed last 50 million (in 2019) of 100 loan
So NOW no reduction that the budget brings out.

But I’m sure you posted many times that we’d know how much we were screwed over by PVL when the annual report came out.

it doesn’t look like we’ve been screwed as we have a fully functioning RL competition in 2021 after a rather successful pandemic year in 2020.

im sure many NRL clubs took the job keeper/seeker grants, but so did the AFL, and they used their line of credit.

Todays the 27th of Feb and the 2020 annual report is out. It’s about time you said well done V’landys and the NRL.

Lol fat chance of him posting that.

He posted previously how PVL didn't wait for any competitive tension in doing a deal .
Lol I & a few other posters asked what other media comapanies were interested .
List them please
There were none .but it was an excuse to trash PVL .

well if vlandys hadn’t pulled a Dodgy and hidden the figures we would know for sure! First chairman to refuse to tell stakeholders how much tv revenue has been for the year hmmmmm.
It’s looking like $71.1million plus reduction in 2020 from what we can see in the cloudy financial report figures.
IF AFL’s really has been only $45million I’d say we got well and truly screwed wouldn’t you?

Name change to Licensing- so what- it shows little change, possible because the last two yearly accounts we payed back $100m in two $50m installments.
Licensing/Media 2020 = $323 million.
Tell me how you arrive at 71 million reduction- what calculation do you do- to get 71m, hopefully its not based on Stensholt story- cause thats what it is. a story- Regarding Stensholts AFL figures especially about the NRL, it's wrong and was wrong when it quoted months ago by the simple reasoning, those that claimed that the AFL got $150 more than the NRL, didn't even know what the NRL was even getting which was only published yesterday.

Mate most who argued with him just laugh at him now .
He hates PVL with a passion so facts or holes in his conspiracies are ignored .

it hides the true figure. This new line item of licensing included $80mill of other revenue in 2019.
My understanding of the loan, which was in reality was an upfront payment on the tv contract, was that the nrl would get an annual reduced $ amount from Ch9 each year over the 5 years of the value of the up,front payment ie $20mill a year, and the amount of the $100mill given to clubs the clubs would pay back to nrl over the five years. Now it may be that the remainder of the up front payment back was calculated in the revised deal, but as there are no notes in the financials to that effect it is hard to know. I very much doubt at a time of incredible financial stress the nrl thought it would be a good time to use what little cash asset they had servicing it lol.

Can only go by the license line item.I’ve posted already what the nrl revenue was expected to be for 2020 pre covid and what the license line item is. That is the difference. We dont know what is included in the license line item or of there where any reductions in those other revenue streams (or oncresss for that matter). It’s a crafty accounting way of hiding what the games media revenue actually is, makes you wonder why he felt the need to Doesnt it?

Tell me what page on the NRL annual 2019 report did it say $80 million?

not hard to work out! Look at what the 2020 accounts have in the license line item for 2019, then look at what the media revenue was for 2019 in the annual report for that year (when the nrl didn’t feel the need to bury it) and. You can clearly see the difference.

Bullshit, I have a copy/PDF of both reports and still you won't quote a page number- you know why their isn't a mention of 80m any which way you want to calculate it- because it ain't their- prove me wrong.
