Clydesdales, cost them $300k that they expected the NRl to pick up. And who have now done so for this year.

So they accepted a team who they couldn't afford?

As a result scrapped a u21's pathway comp that may be of some use in the future

probably silly to admit without ARLC agreement in place, but as they have now funded it maybe they expected it would happen. You'd have to ask them that.

I am sure a PVL fan boy will publish such wastage when the court case comes closer,

Stuff not funneling down is a problem I have in the game

Both States can do with some streamlining
You are assuming there is some waste, but where do you get that idea from (genuine question).

The ARLC scrapping the NRL U21's and forcing it back down to the state level was always going to lead to this issue.

Why are the ARLC suddenly off the hook for the original decision?

I will use the NSW example because I know more about it.

My son plays in the Penrith comp.

The registration, Referees, Judicary are all run by Penrith District Junior RL.

They run the rules as determined by NRL.

So why do NSWRL have Gavin Badger employed to oversee referees? The rules are same from above.

I am sure QLD has similar duplication somewhere down the line

ARLC aren't the ones to of saved what $300k or so running that who now can't put $50k for the Foley Shield.

That is my issue with that, Savings were made yet still need more

NRL spruik about admin costs being 22%, QRL admin costs are only 6% of revenue.
what qrl spent its money on last year

Um, admin includes the employee costs which is the top line item.
Theres no way of knowing what in that $11mil comes under admin, just as we only have Petes word that the 22% admin costs for NRL are real as they wrapped up in a number of line items.

So in this example, the PDJRL are not actually part of the NSWRL and or funded by it?

Ive asked that before, whose paying for refs, insurances comp admin etc?
Penrith NRL dont give any cash to Panthers JRL so where are they getting funding from to run the comp? subs alone?

Correct but NSWRL still spends on Development officers etc for that area. That is where the double up occurs.

Those people could be needed but shouldn't be paid out of the grass roots funding. That is where the bottle neck is.

Take QRL $24m of funding is not over the top, However not sure QCup participation should come from that.

Do they or do NRL employ all DO now? Job adverts seem to be via the NRL, not the NSWRL or QRL. I know one of the big spats with the NRL and WARL in 2012 was the NRL was centralising all DO positions and bringing them under their management.

As per my NSWRL example. Why do the States need to develop referees when NRL make the rules.

You could reduce that $890k.

$11m on staff. Which includes admin,

Again if the NRL are paying clubs directly as per the Toowoomba example above then you don't need as many staff and hence that cost would be lowered

someone needs to coordinate refs game allocation, train them, insure them, recruit them and pay them.

From 2022

Adam Perry is running a NSWRL program

Gavin Badger running a NSWRL Referees program.

Both could be run under the NRL Umbrella and that money NSWRL re-invest to the levels below the elite players
