The Game 2023 Crowd Watch

Good crowd in at Allianz 2.0 this afternoon.

Those vacant seats in the top tier of the western grandstand are a real frustration though.

General public tickets sold out on Thursday, 4 days before the game. As others have said, Allianz 2.0 really should make SCG members "book" their tickets, and turnover any available tickets to the general public. That way, it would have been a 100% capacity crowd.
Looked great on tv. But that’s potentially $250,000 of lost revenue (at $60 a ticket x 4200). Ridiculous

2500 no shows

time to force members to indicate their intention to attend by *** date before an NRL event
or lose their seat.

Those 2500 would have been snapped up in no time
& its shameful they're just left empty
Maybe if they had let the club cards in they would have filled it, i know a few people who weren't going because of not being able to use the club cards. I actually booked tickets for the members so i made sure i would get a seat because i thought it would be packed. $20 and you can reserve a seat in the members as they reserve certain bays for that ( they also do it for the Swans at the SCG ) and you can also reserve them for the union although i'm not sure why you want to do that for the Waratahs . Anyway, i had great seats in bay 413 right between the half way and the 40 mtr line, yet there were vacant seats next to me. From where i was sitting it still looked very solid in the members but the wings looked empty.
My brother and his wife decided to chance it and not book and they easily got seats on the lower level of the members.

The thing that pissed me off more was the no shows for the two semis last year in the members, brand new sparkling stadium and so many empty seats then.

Just saw the pics that Sky is the Limit posted and yep the wings of the members upper deck are empty, it is shameful.

Was told by a MOPT staff member capacity was 25,000 while they renovate - but that fluctuates week to week depending on what they’re doing. In any case, it felt full tonight!

What are doing to renovate if I may ask.

It's only 13 years old.

Ahh so it’s my fault fumbler trolls post here? Grow up!
Would be okay if you were more adept at detecting them.

I'm a Rugby League fan in the North of England. Supported a lower division club through thick and overwhelmingly thin for 43 years. Never been anywhere near an AFL game.

And yet early in this thread you labelled me an AFL boy and said it was my favourite sport.

Page 125 and you're still at it. Is this normal behaviour in Tasmania?

Things are looking great for NRL. Just relax.

I wondered where you had gone. But not for long.

Anticipating R9 will have smaller crowds due to smaller stadiums and a pretty average weather forecast for NSW on Saturday and Sunday.
